Weak Spot and Soft Spot are both riddled with Donnie's repercussions. This is a man that had a minimum of six apartments for just an attempt to lie low and the moment he spent more then a few days at one of them, he was found by the other turtles. He was only recently given any sort of pardon from the Hidden City after being outright banned from there. He can't leave New York without severe monitoring. The government threatened to take the idea of his child away and barely allowed the two of them to keep the baby.

So yeah, this and a hundred other things to the fact that the stories starts and Donatello has never even hugged another person I would say is pretty darn indicative that yeah, he's suffered consequences.

To which I wonder again if you read the predecessor work because Weak Spot's entire theming surrounds the mute point of good and bad. Nothing is that black and white. To wonder if Othello, who you refer to as the kid, will be bad is completely beside whatever point you are trying to make. I don't believe you are worried he might become a villain. It seems more you're worried about some concocted morality, to which I wonder why you would you even consider a Villain!AU in the first place. If the subject matter bothers you then I suggest you go elsewhere.
