happy rwrb getting the emmy nomination day!!! haven't been tagged today so i'll start off the tagging train with a snippet from my latest wip
Henry smiles indulgently at the young man and shakes his head, chuckling to himself. He turns and starts making his way towards one of the deck chairs by the pool.ย โIโd be careful if I were you,โ he calls out over his shoulder.ย โOh, yeah?โ Alex grins. โAnd why is that?โ Henry holds up a hand, the left one, and wiggles his fingers with a smirk. โIโm married.โย โI donโt see your wife anywhere.โย โHusband,โ Henry corrects.ย Alexโs grin widens, as if rising to the challenge. โI donโt see your husband anywhere.โ Henry rolls his eyes as he shakes out his towel and lays it on top of the chair. He sits down and cracks open his book. Without looking at Alex, he says without any malice, โDonโt you have a pool to clean?โย Alex only laughs in reply and helpfully puts some distance between them as he heads over to the other side of the pool to pick up the discarded pool skimmer. And if Henry peers over the top of his book to watch as Alex bends down to pick it up, it is no one elseโs business but his own.ย
