This weekend, I got a box of these. I was tired of being able to feel pads during my period, and I wanted something i could move around in without a leak disaster. Tampons are good for that, but you can only leave them in for like 5 hours, cause toxic shock syndrome and dying. I also wanted to be able to have not-bloody sex during my period. I’m gonna put all my thoughts on these down below so it doesn't take up a ton of dashboard space.
It was 5.75$ for a package of 14 where I bought them. It’s about 3.60$ for a cycles worth of pads, but tbh you could probably just wash these out and reuse them, since they don't absorb your blood or anything (Even though it says single use on the package, but if you’re strapped for cash it won’t hurt you). Affordability:3/5
When I took it out of the package, I was intimidated because it was larger than expected. Insertion wasn't pleasant, but it wasn't any worse than putting in a tampon. Just follow the instructions on the box and you’ll be fine. I couldn’t feel it once it was in, which was nice, because I don’t like being reminded that the crimson tide is surging. It’s nice not to have to switch it out every 6 hours or so, like I have to with pads. When you take it out, be prepared to get blood on your hands, and empty it out before you put it in the garbage unless you like living on the edge and possibly dripping blood all over the place.Comfort/Ease of use: 5/5
During sex, I couldn't feel it and my bf couldn't either which was cool, but I think it shifted out of place during the act cause blood-dick happened. It was probs less of a bloody disaster than it would have been without one tho. That, and a different position probably would have made it less likely to leak. (It was cowgirl btw, so maybe try one where you’re laying down). Sexy Capabilities: 3/5
Overall Awesomeness:4/5
So I would totally recommend these as a comfortable and tss-free alternative to pads and tampons, but if you only want these for period sex be prepared for some leakage and an un-sexy post coital wipedown
