dark - Chapter Two of Cursebearer
When Esther next could see anything other than the unending void, she did so without being able to feel her body. Not even her chest heaved as she tried to breathe, and no peace came from the mimicry of the action. Esther did not know where she had gone. Wherever it was, it was dark and silent. All the sights, sounds, and smells of the festival had vanished, and the absence left her ears ringing, and that hollowness had once again taken residence in her chest.
memory - Chapter One of Auberon Book Three
Addison was not an overly religious person, but he couldn't help but wonder if he really had been visited by Katamar. He tried not to think about the dream, either. The hole where his heart once was ached with the memory. Sometimes, it ached looking at Bella, as if his body thought it was the real woman who had stolen his heart, and not a Goddess using her visage. Bella was not a child, and she was not a Goddess. She was herself — and he didn't want her any other way.
love - Chapter Six of Auberon Book Three
Lucilio nodded, eyes dark. "I love them deeply, and I know them to love me. But how strange a thing to confess to a daughter you've only known as a newborn? To a girl who has mourned her living father thinking they were dead and gone?"
dream - Chapter Two of Cináed
"Stop, stop!" Damaris interrupted. "Calm down, both of you. Look, no one's in trouble. I wish you had told me sooner, but I'm just glad you're not hurt." "Not hurt?" Levente's jaw dropped. "Mom, I have scales growing out of me!" "Yes, I know," she tried to keep her voice calm. Memories she'd long resigned to dreams were already resurfacing, and in the wake of everything, she wasn't sure how to feel. "It's a long story."
