Thinking about episode 70 of the Infinights campaign .
The fight against Sludge and Suess was funny for a number of reasons.
- essentially Mudd sat there and did nothing in his own boss fight. Similar the “Vivia la Gum-Gum revolution” that we had against Quadron.
-Kyborg’s two brain cells having butt pulls a WWE move on an evil old woman.
-Not only rushing into the fight headfirst, but essentially stripping away part of Mudd’s ability to get closure to the trauma this man now has. At least until she portals up
-And I mean TRUAMA! This man has not not also regained his memories, but is aware that they can be stolen in the first place.
-He was essentially groomed. Raised like a lamb for slaughter. Manipulated to the extreme. Kept alive only as a back up plan.
- yeah that back up plan that traumatized him. Gave him a family member that he doesn’t remember, possibly implanting memories too.
-giving time for them to grow attached to the character.
And this all happens at once.
Now- what scares me about that fight is the spell that Bart casts. “Synaptic Static”

“You choose a point within range and cause psychic energy to explode there. Each creature in a 20-foot-radius sphere centered on that point must make an Intelligence saving throw. A creature with an Intelligence score of 2 or lower can’t be affected by this spell. A target takes 8d6 psychic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
After a failed save, a target has muddled thoughts for 1 minute. During that time, it rolls a d6 and subtracts the number rolled from all its attack rolls and ability checks, as well as its Constitution saving throws to maintain concentration. The target can make an Intelligence saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.”
IM SORRY THEY GO BRAINDEAD?? Or do they become schizophrenic- Either that’s extremely horrifying.
-Bart essentially becomes Doctor Strange.
-Mudd cast a shield around himself like a Pokémon.
-Bart became a tree
-Mudd can’t hug his mom cause of the shield
AND ONCE AGAIN Kyborg ruined the moment (hilariously) and shot Suess before she could be questioned.
-I love the parents, i wish I had parents like that
-I swear the entire party is autistic
-I want the moss cape, solar needs alone time.
If Mudd is an only child who will take the throne when the reigning rulers are gone?
By the way gum gum convincing Suess to talk was such a sweet tender moment. Then the old lady doubled down on being evil lol.
