What's the most ridiculous death you ever suffered in Dragon's Dogma?

How would your bosses react if they met genderbent versions of themselves?

I’ve previously made a brief post about their bent names and appearances, but I hadn’t considered what might happen if they somehow met them. Hmm.

I think Meryl would dig her new “bro”, especially if her twin had three older sisters instead of brothers like she does. They’d likely hit it off real soon and get up to wild hijinx together. Also imagine if bent-Meryl had an obsession with ducks or something. xD

Colin would look at Coleen and then mutter with an approving smirk that he’d always figured he would have made for a beautiful woman, and then they’d discuss fashion and make-up. If the Colin meeting her (and fem-Sean) is the one that’s already in a relationship with Sean, then he might also wonder if they might be interested in arranging a one-night foursome or something. For scientific purposes. B)

I’d prefer a term like spectrumslide for Eli, since I’ve heard that genderbent is kind of implying there only being two genders (along with other problems like equating gender with sex etc)? Eli is intersex and identifies as non-binary, so I’m not really sure how well he’d react to seeing a cis-woman and cis-man Eli, since especially the latter would remind him how his conservative and bigoted family tried to forcefully raise him as male, and how for a long time in his youth he desperately tried to conform and felt like there was something really wrong and broken about him. He’s still slightly more male-leaning, but nowadays that’s by his own choice.

Berserk buttons?

I’m assuming ‘berserk buttons’ are referring to something more serious than regular pet peeves, so I’m listing a bunch of things that would literally make steam jet from my characters’ ears.

Anjo

Hurting or threatening his friends in any shape or form, especially if it’s an indirect attack against him

Insulting his homosexuality or his romantic history

Whenever the media harasses his family to get a story about him for anti-gang propaganda

Hana

Smoking or having any open flames near her work station. (Rightfully so—she doesn’t want some idiot to do that in a place where flammable chemicals and explosives are sitting around).

Anyone who preaches about God or the existence of God (or gods) through any religious denomination. 

Calling her ‘jail bait’ or any derogatory term referring to her youth or her prettiness, especially if it’s used to undermine her intelligence

Gina

When people try to use Katie to attack or stop Gina and the Saints

Getting any damage to her car, big or small

Calling her psycho, crazy, a sociopath, etc.

especially if it’s coming from figures of authority

Who in the gang do they have the best/worst relationship with?

I sort of answered Anjo’s worst relationships here (http://kakumei.tumblr.com/post/111120436387/41-45-for-angelo) In short they were Dex and Josh Birk, though Anjo’s relationship with Dex is super, super complicated, on account of Anjo’s unrequited crush and Dex’s betrayal.

Anjo’s best relationships on the other hand are probably with Pierce and Shaundi. Pierce, for instance, has sort of been Anjo’s rock, so to speak. When Carlos died, Pierce not only picked up Anjo’s pieces on a personal level but also kept the Saints running while keeping tabs on both the Brotherhood and the Ronin all at once while Anjo sorted through his grief. Then Pierce tried to keep Anjo’s morale going as he grew more disillusioned with the Saints in light of the fame and the entertainment industry, like cracking jokes about their sponsors or their products to keep Anjo smiling. 

Anjo took note of Pierce’s support; on top of Pierce’s intelligence and humor it made Anjo even more infatuated with him. Pierce noticed Anjo’s recognition of his contributions and plans, which is something Pierce doesn’t get enough of. He likes that Anjo respects and listens to him, and Anjo’s resolve to take care of his friends is something he admires too.

One of Gina’s best relationships is with Johnny—sometimes I feel like those two were somehow separated at birth. Those two are really attuned with each other on a personal level; they sometimes have those ‘brain clicks’ where they agree on a certain course of action or they were just thinking the same thing. But on top of that, there’s this really interesting facet about Johnny where he encourages Gina’s maternal side. He might not be the best influence on Katie (then again, Gina isn’t either) but he’s never allowed Gina to run away from the responsibility she has over her daughter even if she doesn’t claim Katie in a legal sense. 

Of course, another important relationship Gina has is with Lin; after all those two did grow up together. They were both in bad places during pre-adolescence and they carried each other through their issues Lin was handling her parents’ divorce and Gina was deep in rebellion against her parents’ overbearing demands. Eventually they both struck the racing scene together, with Lin as the driver and Gina her mechanic. Lin’s dad actually took Gina in for a while after she gave birth to Katie and was kicked out of home. Obviously, Lin’s death devastated Gina. Not preventing Price’s ambush is one of Gina’s greatest regrets, I think.

On a different note, it’s kinda cool that Lin and Gat get along really well in canon. Lin, Gat, and Gina would make for a really amazing triad, I think.

Skipping Hana here, because I’m still testing the waters for her in that aspect.

What would they play if they were Let's Players?

Hana would play horror games (FNAF, Amnesia, Outlast) and RPGs and would get pretty popular for it. A cute girl screeching at her webcam as she goes through a game dungeon somehow sells, I suppose. 

Gina might just button mash her controller while playing arcade fighting style games and pass it off as content. I don’t see her as a gamer, to be honest.

Angelo would go through AAA shooter games, or games of the comic book genre. He doesn’t like playing games without a narrative. He might play ones like Arkham Asylum, Uncharted, and MGS.

What are Hanna's favourite books/tv series?

Hana didn’t watch much TV when she was young. Her father in particular never approved of her watching variety shows and anime, but he let some JDramas and KDramas slip through the net so long as she watched them with one of her guardians and the narratives weren't too sexually suggestive. (She has a crush on Tomoya Nagase, by the way.) 

By the way, Hana... tolerates Nyte Blayde. She tries to keep her mouth shut when something she hates pops up in the comics or the show because she knows Nyte Blayde means a lot to Matt. She’ll marathon it with him every now and then, and by the time they officially start dating she’s probably absorbed about half of Matt’s encyclopedic knowledge on the franchise without wanting to do that. 

In terms of books, Hana is a sucker for mystery novels. She’s pickier on what she consumes from sci-fi and romance writers; she can’t handle it when something is too trite or fails to suspend disbelief, especially in a sci-fi setting. 

I really can’t give you any specific examples in terms of Hana’s favorites, sadly. While Hana’s digested some Western mediums her father put a lot of emphasis on making sure she read up on Japanese classics, which I myself aren’t familiar with and haven’t researched/read myself yet. Neither have I watched much JDrama/KDrama. I don’t want to just pull titles out of a hat and say that’s what Hana likes.
