me: what if I seriousposted about a dynamic that makes me want to bite the walls because it’s soooo fucking good in so little page time

also me: I think Wreath and Skulduggery would both separately lay on the floor and listen to “i hope ur miserable until ur dead” and think about each other

all right i think they both have a bit of a complicated relationship with touch, for skulduggery before he dies it’s mainly “if you touch me without warning i will kill you but if i know you and see it coming it’s fine” and solomon just kind of has a weird relationship with any kind of affection from being part of the temple for so long because you can never tell what’s sincere or not.

after skulduggery dies, though, he feels weird hugging people or anything like that because he’s literally just bones and he feels like it’s uncomfortable for the other person. as he gets used to being a skeleton it gets better, but he’s always a lot more careful than he was when he was alive.

like you said, it’s a lot of really light, very careful touch at first. they don’t want to hurt each other or get hurt, so they take things super slow where touch is concerned until solomon falls asleep on skulduggery one day and when he wakes up skulduggery is like “that can’t have been comfortable how did you fall asleep on me?” and solomon’s like “no actually it was nice”

and once they trust each other they’re almost always holding hands or smth. they’re both bad at asking for any sort of comfort, but they start getting better at it and also learn to read each other pretty well.

mostly i just want them to cuddle is that too much to ask

who is more protective in solduggery in your opinion?

I’d say Skulduggery, but he does it in subtle ways. He’s already lost so many and so much, letting himself love someone again would mean him being extra protective.It’s not outright though, but it’s in well placed low tones, certain looks, etc to people putting Solomon on edge or upsetting him. He has a tendency to take care of things that Sol is a bit nervous about and mentions how it “resolved itself” with flippant hand wave. Stuff like that.

sol and skul also do detective work together and crack up at the poor people who die like, at the toilet

the loved you a little anon got me thinking about that song and literally the lyrics are great for solduggery. “if i’m the fool what’s that make you?” perfect, very canon-era them energy. “i won’t ever do this again” simple and painful 10/10. “if i was just a lie to you well you were less than that to me” denial and heartbreak? sign me up. “tales like these tragically end badly” outstanding, gives very doomed love vibes which is always fun. “what made you think that what we had was love?” amazing wonderful showstopping giving me too many feelings about them.

How do I explain that alive/with façade or dead its Skulduggery. He finds the most minute bullshit to take a million years in the bathroom with and then he gets out with Solomon to have like 10 mins and then complains that they're going to be late and Solomon tries to figure out how to kill someone who's already dead.

17) who fusses over takes care of the other when they get sick?

Skulduggery fusses though! He can be an ass, but he really does care when someone he loves gets hurt and sick, and can be kind overbearing. Especially when he's dead and he's kinda. Forgotten how often people need to eat and stuff so like every other 10 mins he's like "food? New drink? Blanket???" and while it's sweet and endearing it get's a little annoying. But he's trying his best.
