She had been standing there for about ten minutes now, just trying to figure out how to get out of this trap that obviously Vanessa had laid for her. Clarice’s ankle was tightly caught in a thin, clear wire that was wrapped around her ankle, that had been at the door of her bedroom, the wire going across and up to the top of the door frame, where a bucket was. If she moved more than the slightest of movements and pulled on the wire, it would tip the bucket down and send whatever sloshing substance Vanessa planned to torment her with. It now seemed the girl had figured out how vain Clarice actually was, caring immensely about not only her reputation, and the way people saw her in that aspect, but also her physical appearance. Clarice could call someone to help her, but knowing her staff and the way assassins had tried killing them, their immediate instinct would probably be to cut the wire, which would also send the bucket over her head. Hearing footsteps and then suddenly hearing them stop, Clarice looked up to see Vanessa.
“You did this, didn’t you?” she murmured with a tiny scoff. “Actually, you don’t even need to answer; this little trick of yours has Leonardo da Vinci written all over it and he isn’t here, is he? But one of his close friends is.” Clarice huffed. “What is even in there?” she asked, glancing up at the bucket.
