This is for @thacmis‘s precious OCs Rafferty and Solace who are gorgeous in every single way. Please do take a lot at them and Thacmis’ art in general because it’s incredible and they’re so talented.
Solace loved watching Rafferty.
There was nothing more to add to that sentence because there was nothing more to say. Rafferty was something that Solace had never witnessed or experienced before and he liked to believe that he had seen incredible things. That wasn’t to say that he hadn’t but Rafferty easily topped all the greatest wonders in the world with simple existing.
He moved with graceful power in his every stride and maintained such elegance in every little thing that he did. His voice could calm the angriest of waves and pull them into the deepest of slumbers that would rest aching bones. His smile could be compared to that of the moon with its ethereal glow that dispersed the frightening trouble that darkness brought. It was beautiful in every sense of the word and always made Solace’s heart skip a beat.
His eyelashes fluttered whenever he spoke and it was a small detail that only those who looked closer could see. They were long and thick and coloured like the pure white snow that settled upon the beaches during winter. They brushed against the smoothness of tanned cheeks and slightly bunched up whenever Rafferty aimed that gorgeous smile at him. Solace didn’t know it could get so hard to breathe when being around just one person.
Solace was a lover of beautiful things and they could hold his attention for hours on end. But Rafferty was a different kind of beauty, a beauty that didn’t belong trapped in a chest but deserved to be free so the whole world could witness this magnificence and bow down to it. Solace didn’t want to share it but it wouldn’t be fair on everyone else.
It was with a tilt of his head that Rafferty noticed the attention that Solace had been giving him. The skies were painted a wonderful reddish orange as the sun began lowering behind the horizon and the colours danced beautifully over Rafferty’s skin from their place on the beach.
“What are you looking at?” Rafferty asked. He already knew as one could tell by the playful lilt to his voice. A gentle breeze brushed a lock of white hair out of place and Solace reached forward to softly put it back into place. His hand then slipped down to rest against Rafferty’s cheek and his heart swelled with bounds of affection as Rafferty leaned into it.
“Nothing spectacular.” Solace teased and Rafferty grinned as he placed a kiss into the palm of Solace’s hand.
Nothing spectacular.
Only his marvellous angel.
