the backbone of a perpetual impermanent entity. starfaring through time, dreams and cosmic wonders.

the star farer · i have been actively working on rewriting sona properly. my scribing skills tarnished, exhaustion and nervousness settled in and time definitely took a toll on how much i'm able to write ideas properly but i got new insight and i need to compile. process started a few months ago by reshaping main themes properly and i’m very happy to see i managed to unveil what was lying beneath and to find something dearly connected.

i'm aeonly grateful for my consistency with faring and wandering, it was not lost on me. esmée has always been vague and cryptic; developed and underwritten; both on purpose and due to my own confusion and wish to not associate with certain categories. but sometimes even the obvious needs a third perspective to be caught. ‘ dreamy wanderer ‘ ‘ wandering aimlessly through the aeons ‘ ‘ little explorer ‘ ‘ voyager amidst the stars ‘ ‘ chill alien ‘ ‘ wandering in a snowy dreamscape ‘ ‘ may your journey leads you starward ‘ many elements have been redirecting directly to wanderlust and my lifelong habit of wandering, even my own name and the forehead core marking symbolizing the nautical star compass meant to reflect that and my seafaring childhood and cultural background.

i learnt from orbit wanderer came as no surprises considering my habits to fare and how I presented sona, yet the sentiment eluded even myself. the obvious is not always simple to catch, despite orbiting wanderlust themes forever i just kept diving in confusion. sona is just sona; no big story, no big background, no grand deity-like concepts. she simply stems directly from me, a painting of dreams and wishes mixed with recollections and reflections. grotesque horrors and circumstances disguised as cosmic beauty and poetic musings. /romantization sustains my existence/

fundamentally she is not changing from what people know her as. simply being more forward with themes i've been orbiting around for aeons but couldn't reach, and putting names on sentiments to properly encompass. a shifting starfarer going through aeons and dreams; housing stars in golden eyes and gleaming stellar features aimlessly discovering, musing, and wandering. it's small, but it feels like unveiling the fog though. there is still the proper starfaring solustrances; outerspace seeker and stelle maris astra nautes.  adding wanderlust to the main thematics a while ago really lifted a weight from my heart, going now ahead with the ‘ main ‘ nature feels like a timeless found aedes, an aria sung to the stars.

astralog ; archives and mémoirs of a starfaring entity. carpe noctem, another sleepless night brought to me the random urge to properly compile notes and archives on abilities / weapons / artefacts, which certainly no one cares about bUT at least i can rejoyce to have a proper note on the matter u _ u tumblristerribleforlongrambleformatpleasebringhelp writing at 4am is a habit but likely not the best eureka to make sure there is no eggshells... welcome to a starbound journey into memory lane and nostalgia, if you still proceed to digest this nonsense your bravery will be perceived ⋆˙⟡

✵ abilities ❛ there was once a star known by everyone and no one. ❜

✧ shapeshifting · able to change one’s shape at will.  ability to shift, despite a known set of limitations. morphology shifts with everything else and she needs to have a perfect understanding of the creature she shifts into. otherwise it might end very gruesomely if she fails somewhere, hence ability is limited to a number of treasured fauna for fondness and practicality. despite being a shapeshifter, those with a perceptive eye may notice slight details ' unnatural ' for a specimen of said species, hence making her out of place, uncanny incomprehensible stranger despite trying to blend in.

✧ pandemonium · able to change bone composition.  ability to change growth of skeletal structure. can use bones as projectiles, literally explode out of esmée's body like a grotesque cage firing them outside at high speeds. can overall change their own bone structure, using bones as weapons or shields, limb additions such as movable tail, etc. 

addition — if high on trigger, can make the target's bone marrow stop making blood altogether. can straight up give bone cancer. auricborn, innards and bones may be tainted of a gilded coat. they may also fade into stardust upon damages, making them akin to bursting constellations.

✧ bloodtithe · able to harden one's blood and use it as weapon.  depending on setting, blood might also be lethal in composition and used to poison / destroy others from within. obvious backfire risks on her. auricbled, blood often appears gold or black. red is an uncanny occurrence, wariness advised upon sighting.

✗ cons · dangerous calcium and iron deficiency, chronic pain, hypermobility, anemia and hypocalcemia that need to be constantly monitored. may cause trapped nerves, forces to be on permanent D3, calcium and magnesium supplements.

✓ pros · enhanced healing factor to balance. every time a bone is ripped out the wound closes itself soon after. bones more durable than normal. under healthy state and normal vitals, skin regeneration may take up to 8 sec and organ restoration 10-15 min.

✧ stellae evocantes · able to summon constellations. able to summon cosmic creatures, people, or objects that are associated with constellations. they carry all the characteristics of what they are and can be controlled and commanded at will, although they are more often summoned for silly leisure than combat. 

✧ astromnia star entity · able to manipulate, produce, bend and control astronomical events and objects. 

· gravity · can manipulate gravity at will. · space distortion ·  can bend / distort space. · cosmic noises ·  albeit she can shift one’s frequency to make it sound like local, ‘ less intimidating ‘ speech, the original ‘ voice ‘ is unknown and undocumented. it is fair to believe it’s akin to frequencies caught from stars and various celestial objects, sounding eerie and uncanny, alien arias from the stars to the local creatures hearing it. · solar flares · can discharge solar flares like paroxysm outbursts. naturally producing auroras around herself and lighting the sky, she can also burst on a whim if silly human technology hits the end of her patience…  ※ star entity cosmicalities ! tba. or perhaps not, the list of abilities would be endless as entity entails to many astronomical occurrences. ie, astronomical weight, velocity, magnetism, light, orbit gravity pull, gamma ray bursts, silencing orbit...

✧ electro manipulation · ability to wield natural or mechanical electricity to create storms and lightning. depending on the situation, she can also synthesize electricity from her body. as a result it is not rare to receive surcharges upon physical contacts, especially unwarranted. as such, her eerie speed makes her combat habits strike violently like lightning shadow. swift, aerial and breathless playstyle without warnings. ✦ tldr · shapeshifting, osteokinesis, hemokinesis, constellation summoning, cosmical existence, electro manipulation.

✧ wandering suitcase · a traveling case also serving as a writing box with a bizarre storage capacity. where does it end ? akin to a lacuna space for those allowed to take a glimpse, a collection of trinkets and various mementos like her own cabinet of curiosities.  why are you keeping so many things, you are not good at turning the page are you…

✧ astro compass · wanders ad finem but never gets lost, this compass is one of the most treasured memento of one's faring nature.  has a great sense of direction yet arbors an obvious lack of spatial awareness, this compass may help to compensate and measure distances and time properly.  ‘ my compass is curiosity ‘ whether used or not, it remains as a memento of her life-long wandering nature.

✧ somniascape snowglobe · a glass dreamscape, one of the most important artefacts carried through aeons and spatium. always shaped as a sphere, it appears as a fragile giant snowglobe that can differ slightly in appearance. moon cameos, pastel skies, with or without orbits, see through, frozen surface, star rounded jar, constellation cracks… ego decides whether or not strangers get to take a glance. the dreamscape remains a paracosmic inner plane no matter how the external presents, remaining a pastel sphere storing hopes and dreams. ※ nota intermundium — items of interest are attempted to be limited to 3 for efficiency.  although she is bound by hoarding nature and collecting trinkets... cabinet of curiosity, her wandercase is put to good use.

compendium  · while playstyle and aesthetic may slightly differ depending on state, there is a recognisable general pattern. while combat is neither a wished nor favored outcome, impulsivity may lead to unexpected reactions especially considering her speed.  electro entity carrying the aura of the stars and a near-infinite speed, her ethos revolves immensely around elegance and fast pace, bringing a swift end to the altercation. tendencies to strike without warnings, thundering threat being discerned only after having performed successive slashes to sunder enemies. dissonance between speed and external time may trigger a general freeze to the surroundings, pausing time momentarily and accentuating the menace her tempo represents. favors flurries of slashes and aerial motions over heavy blows, with only starter / finisher strike ending the dispute. existence fall silent, until summoned lightning rend down and dreams shatter.

weapons may be coupled with abilities. the most common being lightning-infused artefacts and contacts; constellation familiars may also be seen accompanying her, both in battle and leisure.

m. · daggers · an assortiment of floating baroque daggers. akin to hummingbirds, they can be freely controlled by psyche and fuse into themselves to limit their number, or eventually leave only one remaining that she can carry on her thigh. may be destroyed and fade into stardust upon heavy damages.

m / s. · magic staff · an old yet sturdy staff with magical and astral properties. used as a catalyst to center esmée’s knowledge and abilities, the staff is usually not fit to be used as a melee weapon. the odd head-shaped form on the staff resembles a creature…

m. · naginata · takes the form of a large naginata with a pulsing blade and a kintsugi ebu. allows a wide striking coverage, can turn into one unique odachi.

s. · tri-blade wing · three large blades attached together forming a fan, akin to a wing x tearing claws. retractable into one unique odachi.

m. · sword · takes the form of a katana with a snowflake-like tsuba and a long ribbon with a bell at the end of the kashira. aerial elegance, feather-like yet light-striking speed and precision.

s. · chakram · a grand circular, moon-like blade ornate with apricity reflects and crystalized flowers. swift and refined, and very versatile in forms as it can be separated into dual crescent blades, or even deployed as a bow. as leisure it can serve as a moon cradle, sleepy tendencies to float and use the chakram strings as music instrument.

a soft pre-musing post as it's still in writing, but in the light of bina coming home tomorrow there has been some thoughts of how similar she was with esmée. dreamy-minded, whimsical, eccentric, tendencies to drift away and go to sleep, borderline eerie considering the confusion she sets on others with her mannerisms...

it reminds me that albedo should not be eluded either. one of the oldest genshin hyperfixations and still regarding him as my most beholden with raiden, he definitely has his spot in the list as well. monachopsis in alkahest sea, the signs of discomfort among others and his inhumane nature heavily play in the scale. accepting company to some extent yet falling back into solitude at some point because relationships are so stressful and tiresome. secretive yet empaphizes the most with the traveler from beyond...

i will leave the rest for later but there is a whole layer to unpack about his artificial lifeform side, as people greatly misinterpret the implications of not being human. kuddos to him for throwing me back in my alchemy love as well, it might be lesser known than librarian but both are held very fondly ueue albedo, raiden and bina are likely going to be my stellary circle of enamoured inhuman, otherwordly confusing characters. albeit i will always grieve my lore directions as it can't fit raiden properly, but she will always be an honorable mention in general medias i hold dear.

winter may not be as cold as elsewhere here but it does a great job at slowing down my metabolism— it's a bit wild to say that winter makes me even more sleepy than usual while it's already my constant mood... living on sleep debts and energy drinks, it's a silly wish but one day i hope to own a proper puffy winter coat. clinging to the stellaris hc that the floof grows reflecting fatigue, likely such a winter coat is impossible to find rl while remaining in my aesthetic area. i already have the unusual ability to doze off a few minutes no matter the position; my back and neck are not thankful and the comfort of a bed is always preffered but considering my struggles when it comes to rest... any dust of sleep here and there is valuable. but if one day i can hoard one and live my local sleep dream comfortably... /i rejoice to not have to deal with the blinding nordic sun though/

i am not really one to brag publicly about sona and aeons, but i can try to give a very small introspection about one, in honour of newly found inner peace.

auricborn shapeshifting starfaring entity. based on sun phases and various astronomy themes ; a dreamy starfarer wandering through the aeons. a natural wayfinder, the otherwordly curiosity to find what lies beyond space and time.

astronomy · gold · wanderlust it can be vaguely expanded within categories; erosion / kintsugi / music / thunder / floriography / fauna / academia / baroque memoriam / seasonal occurrences (hiems, fall, vernal) et plura, other thematics proper to each states.

she has 3 states with their own core thematics and personality traits slightly deviating from each others. despite this, they remain one being interchangeable, heavily relying on solstar dynamic. solaris is the omnia, the neutral state representing ataraxia and equilibrium between the opposite extremes who are stellaris and eklipsis.

while she does not have a specific story on her own, as my sona she encompasses themes that are either dear or curious explorations. she is not meant to be any grand being, just a curious sidereal entity wandering through dreams and cosmos. sidereal daydreamer & night-muser, embodiment of ' curiosity killed the cat ', her eccentricity only matches her perpetual confusion about the world. that does not prevent her from wandering beyond the shores, little explorer deep in her heart. she will archive and question all, ad infinitum. in true shapeshifter fashion she often takes the form of what she has in front of her. if you hear a quiet voice humming songs from the unknown in languages so old history no longer remembers, it might only be a whisper from the stars dressed in gold...
