Here are a few of my shots of legendary Italian sex symbol Gina Lollobridgida at the “Filming Italy Day 3” for the screening of 'Il Banchiere Anarchico' for The Istituto Italians di Cultura at Harmony Gold. When it was announced that Gina was winning an award I thought that’s nice never expecting she’d actually be there to receive it. When she entered the the Harmony Gold stage from the left with a retinue in tow with that glorious red dress I was stunned! This got all of my photographer juices flowing. I was on point for the 30 minutes. She was feisty and very present in the moment although she oblivious to red carpet protocols that made everything more exciting and dangerous for the prospects of a nice staged shot. There were hands moving in big ways because Italians communicate with their hands and the were flashes of anger and joy. I was thrilled and entertained beyond belief to b a part of this moment with this Italian acting legend and cinema sex symbol. Every second was mayhem and magic! I had to pinch myself to make sure this was really happening. Wow, just wow! Today is Gina’s birthday. Gina will be celebrating her 93rd birthday.
