I’m kind of interested in your each upper moon is a sin idea. We know kokushibou is pride, Muzan must be wrath, Douma lust?? Idk who else would be what, gyutaro is probably envy??? 🤷🏻‍♀️

(for the sole purpose of numbers, i’m going to be excluding Muzan but let’s be honest: somehow, he’s the culmination of all sins)

Kokushibou: Pride 

This one is quite obvious. Although you could say he has some traces of envy, I do believe that it’s not totally the case. He’s a prideful man who wants his abilities to be the best. it’s his hurt pride, and desire of overcoming his brother that makes him go down the route of turning into a demon to be more powerful. 

Douma: Gluttony

He was born in a family that believed he was a God, greatness was expected from him since the beginning. He always lived in comfort, so why turn into a Demon? He wanted more and more, always searching for something he couldn't have: feelings. You can say that maybe what he most wants is to feel something; and that only in his death he was able to through Shinobu. (he also says that he eats a lot of women, so that’s another fact)

Akaza: Wrath

Akaza is definitely wrath, without a question. Since the beginning Akaza is violent and moves through his anger, and even though he has his motives, it doesn't excuse his actions. After his master’s and fiance's death he becomes a killing machine, looking for revenge against the people who killed them. Even Muzan says that he thought he was a Demon at first because of how many people he had murdered with his own fists.

Hantegu: Sloth 

Solely because of his incapability to step forward and face the consequences of his actions. I know this isn't exactly sloth, but maybe his choice of continuing down a path that is “easier” than to actually face the real world and his own mistakes can be a trait of that sin.

Gyokko: Greed

This one is kinda hard, but let's see; he’s a luxurious Demon. He's arrogant when it comes to his art; that means he's greedy for compliments and gets easily angered when people say bad things about it. It's a sin that can also apply to materials, and Gyokko "steals" others to make his "art"; bodies or things, you name it. (he also has a lot of pots)

Daki: Lust

Not only because of the fact that she lives and works at the Red Light District, but because she relies on her body and her beauty to get what she wants. Daki was held in a position of desire since she was born, entering the business when she was just a child. although it isn't her fault, she went along with it, mostly because of her brother. 

Gyutaro: Envy

This one is also pretty obvious. Gyutaro envies everything. He wants and wants, and thinks the world owes him something because other people are blessed with a better life than him. (i mean he literally scratched himself until he was bleeding because he was envy of tengen) 

this is just my interpretation, of course. i don't think Gotouge created these characters with that in mind, i just thought it was fun to maybe try to fit them in these paradigmas!

No, but every Wednesday is cleaning day with my roommate in our apartment, so once I'm home I'll be cleaning the kitchen while listening to tma ! Right now I'm with my doggo at my parents' place
