The fact that I suck at art and not being talented in that way makes me appreciate everyone's works so much more. Be it art, or fanfics, or anything. You guys are cool and ily.
I'm not going anon bc I want you to know this isn't meant to be confrontational, however, I am a little upset bc I wanted to participate for kv week, and see that it overlaps with Son Week, which makes it difficult to split both time and creative input. I'm just curious as to your reasons for this. Wouldn't it be more beneficial for both fandoms if this had been done during another week? Many of us Son/GoChi fans like KV (no, really, a lot of us do) but now we're torn.
Last year when the co-creator approached me with the idea for the event we wanted to pick a day with some sort of significance. Since Goku’s birthday happened to fall on a Monday last year it seemed like a great day to start our event. We didn’t know of any other events happening during that time so this year we picked the same week as a one year anniversary.
Sorry for the conflicting times. We don’t mean to interfere with anyone else’s events, again, we just didn’t know about them. It’s also why we announce our events six months in advance so that people do have time to work ahead if they want. It’s something we can take into consideration next year though.
If you would like to participate, we will also be holding another Kakavege Week event in the first week of November to commemorate their first meeting.
