Issue 2 of Sonic Bad Guys came out today! YEAH!

After discussing their plan to steal some cores from Sonic Heroes, Starline and the gang head to an Eggman base to do so.

(I just want to take this moment to say that this Issue has some of the cutest Rough and Tumbles I've ever seen, thank you Jack Lawrence :3)

After the five of them make it inside the base to steal the cores from these gumball machines, a robot dinosaur shows up because... why not?

"Finally... a Grand Slam!"

So they succeed in getting the cores Starline wants, and Eggman finds out later that they were stolen. He's also starting to piece together that something's up...

And finally, after Starline starts to realize that his boys are good, we find out what he's using those cores for...

And with that, Starline is now a one-man Sonic Heroes :3

One interesting thing to note about the last page is that a couple people have noted a similarity between these new powers and the powers of the mysterious cloaked figure that Shadow fought at the end of Issue 33, so some people think that cloaked figure is in fact Starline. If that is the case, then I'm wondering when Bad Guys takes place relative to the stuff going on in the main series or why he would attack Shadow and Rouge (another common theory is that he or whoever it was was trying to kidnap Rouge, and that seems highly possible).

We got the preview pages for Issue 4 of Sonic Bad Guys!

So Starline decides it’s time to use the Tricore, and it gives him the power he needs to get away from the others. 

Now, this leads us to one big question that everyone has been pondering since last Issue... How will Bad Guys end? Will Starline succeed, or will the others find him and beat him up? Personally, I can see this going a couple different directions, like maybe Starline will realize he has some of the same issues he noticed Eggman has and comes crawling back to him, or maybe Starline’ll try to kill (or at the very least harm) the others before the finale of this Issue. Regardless, we know that Starline will continue to do bad stuff (and possibly still have the Tricore) because of his inclusion in the main series, but his motivations and whether or not he’s working with or for someone right now in the main series is unknown. We also don’t really know what’ll happen to everyone else after Bad Guys ends, but I’m willing to bet Mimic, Rough, and Tumble will probably just go do their own thing for a while and possibly will only make small appearences in the main series but won’t be MAJOR villains that are the center of the plot. As for Zavok... I don’t know. He’s been getting along alright with the others so maybe he’ll do stuff with them, but he’s also the only one who’s still out for revenge towards Eggman, so he’ll probably go after him (and we also still don’t really know what happened to the rest of the Deadly Six either). And then of course there’s Eggman, who’s clearly catching on that something is up. There’s also a new cover for this Issue that features Eggman, so he’ll probably be coming in this Issue to put a stop to these guys’ plans too. These are all just theories though, maybe there’ll be a plot twist or something that we won’t be expecting.

Issue 3 of Bad Guys is out, so let's talk about it!

So the morning after Mimic and Zavok talk about Starline's plan, they all go on a roadtrip...

When they finally get to the Eggnet Hub, Starline gives them each a power core...

And with these new powers in hand, they open their way into the Hub!

After busting in, Eggman is quickly notified of the situation. However, Starline hacks into his system and leads him toward a different base.

Okay, first off, Eggman with a scarf! Second, that's the Egg Hawk from Sonic Heroes :3

And finally, once the five of them reach the main computer in the Hub and victory is in Starline's grasp, stuff gets serious.

I honestly find it kinda funny how Mimic's picture in the database is literally just a shot taken from Issue 2 of Tangle and Whisper. Who even took that picture? No one else was there!

Anyway, that was Issue 3 of Bad Guys! Issue 4 is set to come out on December 23rd, and that's where we'll get the stunning conclusion!

Issue 4 of Bad Guys comes out tomorrow, so let’s look at the last two preview pages for it!

Mimic decides that he also wants everyone else dead, so part of me is also wondering if all this betrayal and whatnot is leading up to Rough and Tumble also splitting up with Zavok and having them all trying to kill eachother. Eggman is also aware now that Zavok is the one at the Eggnet Hub (although he still doesn’t know about the others) and is going to be joining the party soon to tell these kids to shut up.

We got preview pages for Issue 34! I was also expecting us to get the rest of the preview pages for Issue 2 of Bad Guys tomorrow, but we actually got those today too!

So Shadow's done fighting whoever that cloak person was, and he's now hot on the trail of Clutch. As for what Clutch has to do with all this Egg-Tech stuff is still unknown, but we'll probably find out soon.

I FINALLY got to read Issue 1 of Bad Guys, so here we go!

Picking up where we left off, Starline makes his way to the prison where all of the others just so happen to be...

Starline then uses his... putting people to sleep and mind control powers (I like how he just has these abilities now that probably would've been useful earlier) to help break the others out of their cells, and they work together to get to the prison's control room.

They might have gotten themselves into a bit of trouble, but the best of best boys are still Rough and Tumble :3

In the end, they get to the control room and free all of the prisons inmates before leaving themselves. Also, anyone who's read the Scourge Lockdown arc from Sonic Universe is probably having a large case of Deja Vu.

So Starline's not having an easy time regaining the power he once had with the Warp Topaz, and he concludes that he needs some help to even the playing field between him and Eggman.

...Also, should we be concerned that he says he's gonna dispose of Mimic, Zavok, and Rough and Tumble afterward? I mean, he obviously isn't going to, but that line should give us a good idea as to how he's going to be treating the others.
