heyo @sonocomics ... Happy Birthday!!! Have a great one!! I thought I could draw you something silly B) It started out with me thinking that I really wanted to draw Jerel with some kind of sword, but I also absolutely adore making silly doodles so here we are :D Keep up your wonderful work, I hope that you’ll be well and that you get to do all the projects you like, and may you get satisfying wonderful breaks when times are busy <3 ------------ (bonus bc I started thinking about “how might Jerel canonically feel about pinatas?”)

the greatest things about 2016:

- @calamitaswrath​ honestly, just... just everything - a friend(TM) telling me not her usual wild stories over the phone, but sweet recaps of why she loves and loved people - tomorey and their little art for my stupid Tales of Zestiria Assassin AU... gosh it made me so happy and asjfshjgkjrh i love it to date - Gravity Falls finale that felt like it was cleansening everything bad - sonocomics’ Xenoblade arc.....!!! Her Xenoblade Comicals have such a big impact on my history w Tumblr - more fanzines and merch for myself that i bought and got - pfefferwasser and other old classmates just genuinely talking about the good and useful ways to eat lasagna - 2016 being a way better year for me personally than 2015 was where I just.... felt worse than just like pure garbage ha - related to that, me getting my life together, finally - me getting to know people SO MUCH better that i’ve known for a while - finni-blogs Magpie Henry artwork and them telling me about it - my brother getting into JJBA... I don’t even know shit about jjba but he’s just so happy and mesmerized about that show it’s great - me watching Haikyuu for the first time... and getting into it like idk what - more nice comments under my improving (!!) garbage art - introduction to Kingdom freakin Hearts - getting back in touch with an old friend and getting THEM into Haikyuu - a lot of things worth loving

#I can't really do this because I have SO MANY GODDAMN WORKS but About this tag - do you mean that it would take to long to change all them individually? because the instructions in the post I reblogged (on sonocomics) let you just do an easy "select all" type of edit that switches all of your fics to registered users only with only one edit ( ovo)b

Today’s Art Experiment:  Pamela King (OC belonging to @sonocomics)

For today’s artistic endeavors, I knew I wanted to try shading something, but it was very intimidating to try out.  I decided against an OC for this, and figured it was best to ease into shading and trying new things with a character who has an established color palette- so it was time to make some fanart.  I chose @sonocomics original character Pamela King for it- from her original project, In Two Minds.  She popped into my head immediately, and I knew I had to draw her- this axe-hefting heavy-hitter stole my heart the minute she made her first appearance.

While I had her pulled up as a reference, I had an idea- instead of using a black outline this time, it might be cool if I tried to do it like Sonoci would- by using shade colors for the outline rather than black.  Using the color picker, I was able to get it looking pretty good, if I say so myself.  I can definitely see the appeal in this coloring style!  Guess I know why she was hired to color for Epithet Erased, now.  I’m not sure if I’ll keep going like this- it felt a little too ‘training wheels off’- but once I’m even more comfortable, I might see myself returning to this technique!  Overall, I think I’ve gained a lot of perspective and experience from this experiment.  Medibang and shading seems a lot less intimidating, now!
