This is my rain jar because it doesn’t seem to have a water cycle - it’s just constantly raining. These little plants are finally coming back after being totally destroyed by caterpillars (which were hiding in the moss).

Creeping fig jar, one month old! This thing is growing really well and I can’t wait to put pieces of it in other jars. Lovely little thing. Stocked with isopods, but they are camera shy.

Bought some *heart leaf philodendron (thanks, @dominknitrix) for my terrarium and had a few extra cuttings that I dropped into my last big bottle. It’s been about a week now and I can see new growth and no dead leaves, so I’m happy with that. Lid’s on to maintain humidity. 

This bottle reminds me of this, the reason I got into this hobby in the first place. I hope mine turns out as well as his in time!

Soil and moss collected from the Black Forest, dropped haphazardly in a wine jug I got off Craigslist and left in the sun. I wanted to see what would grow from this rich forest soil, and now it’s gone nuts! Can’t believe how much life is contained in a couple tablespoons of dirt, it blows my mind.
