s2 predictions

we’ll see multiple types of elves (at least 3+). the new season is book two: sky, so sky elves at least, sunfire elves, and i think we’ll see some moonshadow elf settlements as well. some hints at ocean elves as well. swamp elves?

lujanne gave the kids her bird to help them get further away from claudia and soren’s tracking spell. 

ellis and ava go back to their village.

the main trio (with zym and bait) will either reach the Breach this season (perhaps unwillingly), or talk about how it’s their new actual destination goal, beyond just xadia itself.

soren and claudia will run into / have to fight the trio this season. callum’s romantic feelings for claudia will be decidedly dashed.

chaos will descend upon katolis. perhaps some people like opelli will find ways to sneakily strike back against viren’s control?

gren and runaan will either by discovered by amaya, or at least one of them will escape (most likely gren, who then escapes).

the boys will piece together / find out about harrow and while callum is angrier at first, ezran is actually more upset (seeing as how he trusted rayla the entire time, and also had more belief that his dad would be okay too). 

the boys are upset, and by that time they and rayla have figured out soren and claudia are tracking them through her. rayla will volunteer to leave and will do so (maybe there’s another elf ally by that point, who can guide them into xadia).

however the boys, once they have more time to think, begin to realize how much they miss her and how her actions were understandable. they decide to go back for her, and find out that soren and claudia managed to capture her. the boys free her, they all get away, and then group hug.

if and when we do go to the breach (may be this season, maybe not) amaya will realize that rayla is a true friend of the boys when she takes a blow for one of them or saves them in a battle (most likely callum). if we don’t go to the breach, the same thing will happen, but with corvus witnessing it instead of amaya

we’ll get to see another one of the human kingdoms, or delegates from it, or something

rayla doesn’t like being on a boat, no matter how big it is

baby dragon shenanigans with zym (they’re gonna lose him at one point because baby dragons wander off, y’know?)

a more dynamic ezran arc (kid’s gonna be king; hinting about it, maybe, just as something he considers -- especially once he finds out his dad’s gone and that does make him ‘king-in-waiting’)

by extension, rayla learning more about ezran and callum’s places in their kingdom (ie. why callum is older but not considered heir), maybe in a one-on-one scene between her and callum one night (on the boat?)

more hints about pip, but probably not confirmation about if harrow’s soul survived

soren has an ethical dilemma at one point. claudia does not.

glimpses of Tinker, or we actually meet him??

rayla tries to teach callum how to fight in hand-to-hand combat. he doesn’t do well but she manages to teach him a thing or two anyway. either callum improves, or decides his strength doesn’t need to come from sword-fighting, and magic will be his.

callum considers dark magic as a solution to a problem (maybe of how to sneak by something dangerous, or something) but ezran and rayla are both really against it.

the cube ends up letting him channel more magic than he thought, from each primal source (?)

more beautiful scenery

there’s either a plot point / mention / running gag of bait being a bit jealous of zym, who seems like ezran’s new favourite, and whom ezran can talk to at first. however it’s brought up, it ends with ezran reassuring bait he could never love his little glow toad any less.

zym stays adorable.

the end of s2 is either gonna be less happy or way more happy than the end of s1 (but i’m leaning towards the former)
