Inadequate

Tomorrow is the start of the next chapter in my life. Today, I spent all day soaking in the last moments of life as I’ve known it for the last two years.

I pray I am adequate. I pray for strength.

I can’t wait to meet this little one in April 2020. I call the baby a “he” and we won’t find out till the 17th. During the ultrasound they were saying that “he” was moving around a lot! I’m getting emotional scrolling through my old photos looking back at baby Luna. My love for her is indescribable. For these past two years she has been my one and only. My little bestie. My go-with-me-everywhere buddy. My double rainbow. After a long and treacherous battle, she made me a mama. And since the moment she put our world together, she has been the best teacher - so patient and continually happy while I learn the ropes of motherhood. And I can’t believe that in a few short days (yes, days), our family will expand. While I know this transition will be hard for me, it will be harder for her. I promise you, my little love, that I will do everything I can to remind you how loved and special you are. While my time may be split, my heart never will be. For I will love you both equally, individually. Remember that always. And may you always FEEL how deeply loved you are. Thank you, Moonbeam, for being you. For making me a mama.
