MURDER DRONE READER X YAN TRANSFORMERS (ANY VERSION COUNTS BUT SPECIALLY TFP AND TFA)

(YOUR COOKING. Also as for this yap session, I'll try to do every yandere transformers I can think of so sorry if I miss one. And I made this one into a dissembly drone so hopefully you guys like it and also all knowledge for this is from the murder drone shows lore and had to look up the abilities for disassembly drones in the show for this and if you guys like it, I'll totally do more with yandere transformers with murder drone y/n. Might make one that's the worker drone y/n, If you guys want.)

Yandere TFA: for this one I imagine that Dr sumdac found murder drone y/n in a damaged ship that they crash landed in and was temporarily offline. But after waking up, Dr sumdac kinda kept y/n at his lab because like the ship was a mess and y/n tries to find stuff around this city and when scavenging for parts, accidentally was found by prowl as y/n tried to sneak into the autobot base for supplies to repair their ship. Y/n is friends with the autobots now and y/n thinks its nice as they do like prowl for being quiet and letting them charge and hang upsidedown on the tree he has in his room that is a nice rest place but then gets interrupted when bumblebee or sari come in to get y/n (I like the idea of dissembly drones bascially being like a bat and hanging upside down to sleep.) plus once y/n had bumblebee and sari panic because y/n hadn't had any oil and was overheating so bad (I like the fact that dissembly drones have to periodically drink oil because they over heat.) But luckily the base had some oil on hand and now ratchet or any of the autobots ask if y/n had some oil before and sari also makes sure of this because she doesn't want that to happen again as y/n is kinda like a sibling to her. But also it's worse with the decepticons as blitzwing with his three personalities, random scares y/n a lot cause once random says a lot.

Tfp: y/n was basically found by the decepticons first and y/n thought they were alright but a bit scary but still they were nice and all but y/n wondered why they never let y/n leave the ship even when going to earth or just say that it's taking them a while to find y/n's crew and return y/n to them. But escaping from the nemesis, they basically wandered into the small town and met miko first and miko was only able to take a picture of y/n but it was more like a silhouette of them as they got spooked a bit and tried to scare miko away thinking she was a threat before running away and of course miko showed the autobots, jack and raph but this raised a lot of concerns because what if this thing in Miko's picture is a threat so they go to capture y/n and bring them back to base but now y/n stays at the base after being now proven not to be a threat to humans or anything really but will kill if they wanted to but don't really. With the oil situation I do imagine that it's similar to tfa situation where y/n hadn't had any in a long time so began to over heat cause of it but tfp ratchet noticed it quickly and now ratchet and everyone makes sure they had their oil for today because they don't wanna be freaking out over y/n basically overheating again. The autobots, kids and decepticons like y/n as they basically are a walking death machine but choose not to be sometimes because like earth got cool shit here for them to mess around with as for the autobots it's a bit of fresh air having someone like y/n around them who doesn't know about this cybertronian war and the kids like y/n especially miko who thinks they are so cool with all their gadgets, wings and tail. The decepticons are also actively looking for y/n so yeah.

Yandere Rescue bots: Y/n again crushed on earth but didn't know that they'd accidentally crash into a road and a few buildings on their way down but no one got hurt. Y/n escaped out of the small ship they were in and oddly alone but here to rescue bots come to help the situation and y/n a bit injured because it was a rough land, y/n tried to be hidden but was found by a human and was caught by chase who had no idea what y/n was but thought it was a rogue robot or something like that until y/n basically began to panic and tried to freeze themselves kinda like how a cat tried to squeeze through a small crack in a door or something and chief burns was the one who kinda saved y/n from being thrown out or put some somewhere and let them into the burns family as y/n needed a place to stay after telling them what happened to them. The rescue bots and bruns family has taken a liking to y/n but blades absolutely gets terrified when seeing y/n at night with their glowing eyes and all but in the day he's alright, Codey finds y/n cool that they can make any tools or basically anything with their switchable hands thing to make a gun, the little knife fingers or something else like that and they can fly too. Boulder likes having y/n on his shoulders just to keep them near him plus it gives y/n a good place to land or rest at because boulders shoulders are a big enough landing spot, chase teaches all the basic information about regulations on flying and weapons safety to y/n who is mostly confused by this cause they aren't a plane and aren't planning to fly over restricted areas at all nor use their weapons for anything but y/n goes have to wear this cap on their tail because of the acid in it and it's a sharp needle that could accidentally poke someone or something. Heatwave didn't like y/n at first and saw them as a walking safety hazard but grew on them as they always talked to him like they knew eachother for forever and other things that I couldn't list because we'd be here forever, heatwave likes to have y/n on his shoulders sometimes like how boulder does but always looked over to check in y/n is still on or flew off but heatwave in short likes having y/n around him and taking his audio receptors off as its become kinda like comforting white noise to him.

Chase

It’s not uncommon for you to spend the night or come over at odd hours, Charlie gave you a key and Chase permission to have you over at anytime, if only to help the bot loosen up and come out of his shell a little more. However when you didn’t arrive Chase grew a little worried, of course he didn’t ask if you would as you have a home of your own, but he likes having you over.

He hates to admit it but his berth feels larger and emptier without you, however he does shoot you a message around one in the morning asking if you had arrived home safe, and yet nothing.

He can’t recharge in these conditions. Until the sound of the door opening reaches his audials, how odd everyone should be asleep by now. Chase leaves his habsuite, flicking the main light on just to see you squinting under the bright light.

“Dear, there you are! I was quite worried about you, how was your friend’s creation day?” Chase makes his way to you, bending over to try and pick you up, only to blink when you stumble forward and practically fall in his servos.

You smell of something his Olfactory Sensor can’t quite determine though he doesn’t find it very pleasant. His spark hums with worry as he gently lifts you up, but blinks confused when you lean against his thumb, looking up at him with such a glazed over loving expression he wasn’t use to seeing.

“You’re pretty.”

His brain module nearly short circuits as you kiss his thumb but keep your eyes on him. He clears his intake, resetting himself from this momentary shock.

“Thank you, as you tell me. But what happened, should I awake the chief?” His scanners show no signs of damage, nothing seems to get harming you.

“Nooo, I..I wanna go to bed with my boyfriend.” You look so sad it makes his engine purr lowly to tr and comfort you as best he can.

“We can go to my habsuite and let you rest-“

“No! I need my boyfriend, I need Chase.”

The bot stands there, optics squinting trying to figure this out, you informed him humans refer to their pre-conjunx endura’s as ‘partner’s or ‘boyfriend and girlfriend so, isn’t that him?

“But that is me, correct? Aren’t I your boyfriend Chase?” He even glances at the calendar to ensure he remembers correctly you two have been together for a little over a year now, it’ll be three months ten days and two hours until your next anniversary.

You blink lazily at him before squinting up at him. Chase tilts his helm in mild confusion at your act and behavior, though it seems all is forgiven when you perk right up, big smile on your face as you reach up for him.

“Chase, I missed you! Come here, please, I wanna smooch my bot.” You try to move closer, but he is already raising you closer to his face.

“I am not sure how you missed me when I have been here with you for the last thirty seven minutes, but I missed your presence too.” He tries to quell the need to bwoop his siren at you, even now he still wishes to show you cybertronian courtship while you smother his metalic cheek in so many messy kisses.

“It is late, may I take you to my habsuite for a recharge?”

“Mhm.” You aren’t even listening just nuzzling your squishy cheek against his like a happy cat.

Once he lays down with you to his chassis you are out like a light, curled up and holding one of his digits sleeping soundly, until of course morning. Chase is an early riser, always awaking with the sun, but that has never been your style, even now when your eyes slowly open and the weight of a migraine hits you.

Your pained groans stops Chase in his tracks, optics swiftly looking for any bruising of injury he might’ve missed or accidentally cause, but you just curl into him tighter.

“Dear?”

“Please….ask Charlie for some migraine relief…and a ginger ale…and water.”

He sets you gently on his berth, making sure the makeshift bed you made here is comfortable for you before rushing off to ask for the exact things you requested. Though Chase is now being told about human drinking and the side effects it causes, which explains your behavior last night.

Though Charlie gives him a few extra things, snacks to get something in your stomach.

Blades

A little celebration never hurt anyone! Movie night with friends made it even better, what’s the harm in a little drinking after a rough week? You don’t drink often, but it was nice on occasion. Dani was trying to speak to you, but you were already long gone mentally, your elbows on the mini table while your chin rested in your hands, your eyes locked onto Blades.

Dani was struggling not to laugh at how utterly smitten you looked, she swears if this was a cartoon you’d have little hearts surrounding you as you gazed at your big Cybertronian boyfriend. Blades wasn’t oblivious to it either, he could see you and feel your eyes boring into him, it made him flustered for you to do it so openly.

His cheeks flushed blue with energon as he tries to look back at you but he keeps looking away, his thin wings fluttering with his spark thrumming loudly in his chassis. Dani calls your name, and you can barely answer with a hum.

“You know you’re the one who picked this movie, don’t you wanna watch it? Or are you gonna stare holes into Blades all night.” She snorts as you just sigh dreamily.

“But he’s s’cute, Dani.” You groan, your head spinning but you swear you’re whispering, though to everyone else in the room you most certainly are not.

Blades giggles covering his face with his servos, he enjoys your public displays of loving him but he will never get use to knowing you love him so much that you want to show off, and let everyone know just how much you do love him.

“Dani,” you whine your friend’s name, “do…do you think I have a shot?”

“What?” Dani raises an eyebrow at you, devilish smile on her face as she realizes where this is going.

“What?” Even Blades looks at you confused, what do you mean ‘have a shot’ with him? You two are already together? He even did the human dating rituals perfectly you said!

“Why don’t you ask him yourself, I’m sure Blades would love to.”

In your drunken haze you stare at her with a pout before looking to Blades’s confused face, your expression instantly softens at the mere sight of him. The second you stand up you lose your balance, the world spinning a little too fast for you. Blades stood from the couch quickly, easily catching you and holding you gently as he places you in his lap, as he has many times before.

And yet you were staring up and him like he was he worlds greatest hero.

“Are you single?” You breathed out, hushed and airy.

Blades blinks, his yellow optics flickering between you and a very smug looking Dani as he tries to figure out if this is a test or not, is this like the time he asked you if you’d love him if he was a worm?

“No, I’m not single, you-“ blades cuts himself off when he notices the instant shift, how your eyes fill with tears and how you try to very poorly hide how you’re sniffling.

“See, I told you, no bot this pretty would be single!”

Dani pats Blades’s arm with a shake of her head, “You have fun with this, I’ll be sure to have some stuff ready for their pains in the morning, good night!” And with that she leaves him to deal with his drunken beloved.

Blades shushes you softly, placing kisses all over your face until you’re giggling at how ticklish it feels.

“I’m with you, silly!” He smiles at you, glad you stopped crying but there you go again looking at him like he hung the moon and stars, his spark can’t take it!

“Wow….”

Blades whines, finally breaking from your voice sounding so in awe.

“I got so lucky.”

“Stooop.” Though he can’t stop the giggles that leave his intake, who knew having a drunk partner could actually be so fun and silly? Though he gets the feeling you won’t be pleased about it in the morning, seems your high grade effects you like it does cybertronians.

Heatwave

Heatwave only asks for one day, just one for some peace, he just wants to spend downtime with his conjunx but since it’s Kade’s creation day (or birthday, as the humans say) his team, you, and the Burns are together to celebrate. the party stretched on, and the second Cody went to bed Kade busted several differen oddly shaped bottles, as far as Heatwave was concerned it was nothing.

Despite having sat in a dark part of the yard watching the chaos unfold, you mostly sat with him on his shoulder, cuddling up to his helm, only occasionally requesting down when you wanted a drink or a snack from the food table. Heatwave clenches his jaw noting you’re taking longer this last time, you haven’t come back yet.

Glancing over to the party goers he sees you swaying but not to the beat of the music, more like you’re going to fall, though Graham is there first, easily helping you sit down, which is enough to finally worry him into going over and making sure you’re okay. Once Heatwave is close enough he can hear your conversation.

“My Conjunx will be grumpy you’re touching me.” You’re pouting angrily, squinting your eyes at Graham as your muddled mind barely remembers a thing.

Though it makes Graham laugh, “When isn’t he grumpy? Please, just stay here and let me get you some water.”

The engineer mutely sighs when you refuse, determined to stand up and find your lover, until you are shoved back into your seat with a single finger. You blink, trying so hard to glare up at the cybertronian that pushed you back down.

“Go get them that water, I’ll keep ‘em here for ya.”

“Thanks, Heatwave.” Graham says, rushing off into the house o get you that cold water.

Meanwhile you are staring up at Heatwave with a less than pleased expression, making him tilt his helm at you.

“Well, don’t you look like a ray of sunshine tonight. What’s got you up in arms?” He teases, smiling as your pitiful glare only grows more fiery.

“Hands off! I need to find my Conjunx, he’s probably worried by now.”

You are far too cute for your own good, do you know that? Heatwave will remind you of that when the high grade wears off, or whatever humans call it. Though he can’t help but chuckle, at least he knows you’d fight people off with a stick if you must. The large bot crosses his arms, smug smirk on his face.

“Oh yeah? Tell me about this Conjunx of yours. Must be a great guy to land a little thing like you.” His voice purrs in tune with his engine.

You finally smile wide, your eyes sparkling under the starry sky as you look so happy to be asked such a thing.

“He’s a big grump with a heart…a spark of gold, I swear I don’t think I could’ve gotten anymore lucky than him. I miss him…I miss him a lot.”

Heatwave cries to hold back a chuckle but fails horribly as he mocks a coo at you, “Aw poor thing, where if your conjunx?”

You flop back in your seat with such a sad whine, “I don’t knooow!…I want my Wavey.”

“Sweetspark, I’m right here, you dork.”

You look back up at him, squinting your eyes suspiciously at the large mech.

“Oh yeah? Prove it.”

Heatwave rolls his optics, shaking his helm at your drunken antics, “Our spark bonding ceremony was last fall, per your request mind you.”

“Anyone could guess that!”

Heatwave stare at you meeting your judging gaze for a solid minute, long enough for Graham to come back and hand you a bottle of water, and leaving you once more since Heatwave is there to care for you. Though you two don’t break your staring contest.

“That ring on your finger was given to you by me, I only had the Chief’s help to get it for you.”

“Mhm that’s what they all say!”

“….If it weren’t for the fact I loved you I would throw you.” He sighs, but that doesn’t stop his playful tone.

You stick your tongue out at him and turn to focus opening and sipping from your water bottle, grumbling how Heatwave would make you do this if he was here. One last ditch effort, you are picked up, much to your loud complaints as Heatwave turns, making sure his back is facing any potential people as he opens his chassis, right to his spark chamber.

Your eyes widen at the dark blue spark glowing, thrumming loudly now you can hear it. The hairs on your arms stand on end as his EM field washes over your body in a silent caress. Heatwave closes his spark chamber back up and looks at your with a raised optic ridge.

“Hi Wavey.” You coo, “I missed yooou, it was awful, I was gonna die.”

Heatwave snorts a chuckle rumbling deep in his chassis as he places you back on his shoulder.

“I’m sure were, but I missed you too, it was awfully lonely without you.” He mutters, optics glowing warmly as you cheer softly and nuzzle into the side of his helm.

You’re so cute, too cute.

The hold you have on him is one he could never explain, even in the morning when you’re pulling your blanket over your head and whining in pain, declaring you’ll never drink again. His cute little conjunx, even when you look at him so pitifully he can’t help but fall in love all over again.

May I please request a fluff RB Heatwave x Gn Cybertronian Reader? Plot could be that the Rescue Bots are having their monthly movie night and no one can agree on a genre. Though they managed to eliminate the movie genres down to two, sit-com suggested by the reader versus romance suggested by Blades. Heatwave has to be the tiebreaker since Chase and Boulder have already casted their votes (to whichever genre you can decide). I’m going to let you take the reins from here for Heatwave’s decision!

Movie Night

[Notes: I love requests for Heatwave, he’s been my favorite since forever! Such a grump. Also the irony, I don’t like romance movies or sitcoms, but enjoy the fic! Sorry if it’s not to my usual standards, I’m getting back into writing after a long break.]

It was finally movie night at the firehouse on Griffin Rock for the local Rescue Bots, meaning that they were beginning to gather downstairs while the Burns family slept above. The bots would all be together in the bunker, watching whatever movie they eventually decide on. Heatwave tries to say that it’s for team bonding, but everyone knows that it’s actually the team all wanting to relax together after a long day of rescues and work.

Blades was almost finished with setting up the small area that was designated to the bots just as Heatwave and his partner finally came to join the group.

“Sorry it took a bit, I had to pull Heatwave away from his training dummy just to get him over here.” They chuckle, nudging the mech beside them which earned them a sarcastic laugh from the fire truck, but they knew he wasn’t actually upset at all, if anything, he was more amused.

“You two act like an old married couple.” Blades snickers as they join the group, setting down a blanket.

“Well, they have been together before we ever arrived on Earth.” Boulder backs up Blades with the knowledge of how long the two have been together.

Heatwave grumbles and rolls his optics before Chase joins in, stating his own thoughts. “Technically, that would make them an old married couple, as Blades has stated previously.”

“Yeah yeah…” Heatwave grumbled as he took his place beside his partner on a nest of pillows and blankets. “Very funny.”

“Come on, Heatwave, lighten up.” They let out a small laugh before turning their attention to the others. “So, what’re we watching?”

“How about a war movie?” As always, Heatwave suggests his favorite genre of movie, anything war or fighting related, he loved. Probably because of the action packed scenes.

“A sitcom would be nice, comedy after a long day.” They suggested their own option, with Heatwave groaning quietly at, making them stifle a laugh, knowing that he finds sitcoms dreadfully boring.

“Oh! What about a romance movie! It’d be all lovey dovey and cute!” Blades piped up with a smile, clasping his servos together with an almost blissful expression.

Which did earn another grumble from the team leader, he wasn’t fond of any of the options offered so far, but he still waited to hear what Boulder and Chase had to offer. After all, the movie choice had to be unanimous, that way it’s fair.

“An action film would be an excellent choice, both exciting and entertaining. Particularly with many high speed chases.” Chase was calm when he stated his preferred genre, and of course, he was interested in anything with high speed chases, it was certainly something he was fond of, likely because of his time with the Chief.

“I think our lives are filled with more than enough action to make a long movie series…” Boulder retorts before adding onto his words. “A nature documentary, so we can relax properly and even learn more about Earth!”

They chuckle beside Heatwave. “I don’t mind any, I’d personally watch any of them.” They shrugged, leaning their helm against Heatwave’s shoulder plating.

Blades hums, rubbing his chin before gasping. “We could vote! Whichever movie genre wins is the one we'll watch! The winner even gets to pick the movie.”

“Sounds good to me.” They agree, the rest of the team nodding in agreement as well. A vote it is!

“Alright, all in favor of an action movie! Show of servos!” Blades starts with Chase’s choice, which obviously Chase votes for with a raise of his servo, and so does Heatwave, mainly because it was an action movie, but they, Boulder, Blades oppose it, much to Chase’s disappointment, though he doesn’t stay stuck up on it for long, they had voted, it was fair.

“Action is out, so next is…a documentary!” Blades hums, mentally keeping track of what gets voted out and what hasn’t.

Which, only two people voted for it, that being Boulder and them who had raised their servos, everyone else vetoed the option, but did make Heatwave turn to look at them. “Seriously? A nature documentary?” He questioned with a raised brow.

“What? I like documentaries, plus, it would’ve been a nice, calm option.” They shrugged, like they said, any option was good to them, they didn’t mind any option…well, except one.

“War movie?” Almost everyone voted out Heatwave’s suggestion, earning a grumble from the mech with a quiet rev of his engine.

They shook their helm with an amused smile, “Sorry, but I really don’t want to sit through a war movie…given that we’re currently in a war, that’s too much war for me.” Heatwave sighed at their amused apology before hearing Cody’s voice echo through the bunker, calling for the team leader from the elevator into the bunker.

“Keep voting without me, I’m going to go check on Cody.” Heatwave excuses himself as he gets to his pedes, the others agree to continue with their voting while he’s gone.

“Tell Cody I said goodnight!” They hummed as Heatwave left, hearing a small chuckle come from the mech as he disappeared around the corner, but after he left, the voting continued.

…and ends with a tie.

Blades and Boulder voted in favor of a romance movie, while both them and Chase voted in favor of a sitcom.

It made the group pause, their snickers following, of course it ended in a tie after Heatwave left. “Maybe we should wait for him to get back? He can be our tiebreaker.” They suggest through small laughs, which everyone agrees too, now waiting for the leader to return.

And it didn’t take long for Heatwave to return.

“So, what’s the verdict?” Heatwave questions as he came back around the corner after helping Cody with something simple, he just needed to find something for a school project he was working on late at night.

“It’s a tie between romance and a sitcom. We voted for a sit while Blades and Boulder voted for a romantic film.” Chase explains, gesturing between them and himself. “You are now the deciding factor in what we will be watching.”

“And you cannot be biased towards their option just because your partners! It has to be what you'd prefer to watch!” Blades pipes up again, pointing at them from his spot which got him a confused mutter from them.

“I’d prefer neither…” Heatwave muttered as he sat back down beside them, but got elbowed in the side by them instead, causing a grunt to escape him. “Fine!” He huffs, now thinking to himself on which one would be less painful to sit through.

Heatwave grumbled while rubbing his brow, sighing as he finally broke the tie with his vote. “Romance. As long as it isn’t some stereotypical one! Pick something that’s actually interesting and not a reuse of a script.” He could watch a romance movie, as long as it wasn’t boring or incredibly cheesy.

Though that doesn’t stop Blades from cheering as his choice won, quickly grabbing the remote and searching through what options he could find on the tv.

“I’ll admit, I was kinda, somewhat hoping you’d be biased towards my choice.” They leaned against Heatwave, whispering to him as they watched Blades hurriedly look through whatever romance movies he could find. “But it doesn’t matter to me, as long as everyone is having fun, right? Besides, some romance movies have action and comedy in them.” They hum, feeling his frame relaxing finally.

“I just think sitcoms are boring.” Heatwave mutters as he wraps an arm around them. “And you’re right, some of these movies can be interesting.”

“Eh…that’s fair, sitcoms aren’t for everyone.” They chuckle quietly before settling in, nestled against his side as Blades finally selects a decent movie, pressing play.

While Heatwave may not fully enjoy the movie, he still thinks they’re corny, he wasn’t going to leave either, he’d stay and watch the full thing, not wanting to be anywhere else but with his team.

Chase:

Chase is soft for you, but it can be hard to see sometimes. He doesn't act too different around you, but there's an obvious need to be around you that he carries whenever you're near. He lingers near you, minding his business but ready to be your helper should there be anything you need. And if that thing is just a conversation? He has many conversation starters saved up for such an occasion.

It needs to be said that while Chase doesn't act too different around you, he does act different around others. Both his team and Charlie have to hear about you near constantly. Chase has a lot memorized, trying his best to parse through his own feelings and what your own might be. He also wants to try and woo you, if possible, so he discusses his plans at length with his other, taking them as serious as a rescue.

Heatwave gets sick of it quick, but Boulder and Blades find it romantic enough that they do their best to keep up with Chase's intricate plans to show himself as a good partner for you. They even offer their own ideas for gifts to give you, but be careful. Chase cannot cook. He can, however, suss out the perfect gift based on everything you have ever said. Just don't be too put off by what he says as he gives them to you; he's still practicing with Blades on making his compliments more flattering instead of sounding like he's studying you like a bug.

Heatwave:

Heatwave is smitten, but you would never know. If you never hung out around him, that is. Heatwave likes to think he's got a good lid on his innermost emotions, but it's not hard to see how he relaxes whenever you're around. His voice softens, his posture slouches, and he smiles far more than he does whenever you're away. It's easy to notice, if you know what you're looking for. Everyone else has noticed, at least.

Given Heatwave's tendency to be, well, grumpy, it's easy to tease him about his crush. And tease his team does. Boulder coos and swoons over how in love with you Heatwave is, while Blades talks on about spring weddings and saying yes to dresses. Chase is more practical, showing off his relationship and dating self help books, trying to get Heatwave to do what they suggest. Heatwave doesn't, instead shouting at his fellow bots until they scurry off snickering.

What they don't see is his own plans, written down on a datapad he keeps on hand constantly. They're not very extensive or detailed, just small notes on things you like or activities you'd might enjoy. Heatwave is confident enough in himself to be okay without every detail being written down, and he knows you'll have fun together, whatever happens.

Boulder:

Boulder is the most laid back of all the other bots, and thus he's the only one that is really hard to guess where his feelings lie with you. He's adoring and sweet to everyone, always interested and curious of humanity. It takes the family and even the other Rescue Bots a while to realize his interest in you is more than just platonic, and that's only after they discover carefully drawn sketches of your profile surrounded by hearts in his habisuite.

Any teasing is to no avail, for Boulder isn't ashamed of his feelings. He understands that they're as natural as can be, and you're lovely, so why would he be ashamed? Teasing thus turns into encouragement to confess, and it's there where Boulder hesitates. While he's assured of his own feelings, yours are less known, and it's not confirmed you'd date a bot, much less him. Luckily, his team is nosy helpful, and figure out that you wouldn't mind a big, strong, handsome bot as a partner

With more confidence in his chances with you, Boulder steps up his game. He brings you flowers and drawings of the natural wildlife around the island, which eventually evolves into those sketches of you being shyly passed along whenever you're hanging out alone together. He compliments you too, so sweet that it makes you blush, which he wants to capture on canvas one day. If you're agreeable.

Blades:

Blades is the most obvious about his crush, which surprises no one. He's bashful and chatty at the same time, wanting to talk to you about everything, but also so shy that his face plate seems permanently stained blue. His rotors flutter a lot too, sometimes taking his pedes right off the ground when you make him flustered or excited. It's extremely obvious, but also extremely cute, so you don't mind.

It's easy to tease Blades about his crush, since he frantically denies it like you can hear him from across the island. Still, since he's a little hopeless and a little too reliant on movie tropes, the team does their best to help him along. And that goes about as well as you would expect, so not very well. While everything seems to fall apart, their attempts at nonchalant dates are nonetheless very fun for you, especially when they end with you in Blades' arms as he flees some danger.

Movie nights are a must, but also a way for you to add you own romantic opinions for Blades to hear. He points out courting rituals to you, eager to hear your ideas, and keeps them in mind as he grows more determined to woo you. Each date he tries to casually spring on you gets better and better, until you're both practically dating without anyone even saying anything.

You’ve never been a big fan of robots.

  Now, do you dislike technology? Absolutely not. It would be quite hard to have a phobia of all things electronic in this modern world. No, you just find robots…strange. There is something about their distinct inhumanity which throws you off and makes you wish to avoid them altogether.

  Now that you think about it, perhaps living on an island practically dominated by robots isn’t such a good idea for someone like yourself.

  The convention is bustling with activity while the beep-boops and mechanical whirrs of showcased inventions fill the air along with the mingling murmur of excited visitors talking. A loudspeaker welcomes guests, cheerfully inviting them to explore the possibilities of tomorrow! You watch little nanobots buzz overhead like busy bees, some of them coming together to create neon logos of the sponsors funding the program. Booths are set up side-by-side, displaying all sorts of wondrous creations. You see the prototype for a flying car, an android who can bartend, and even a little machine throwing and catching balls for dogs. It’s quite the variety, and you honestly can’t help but be astounded.

  Yet, when you see the four absolutely massive robots standing at the forefront of everything in their shiny new glory, your honest fascination dies at the claws of deep unease.

  Your friend stands beside you, offering you an inquisitive look when they see your stone-faced expression. “Hey,” they say. “You alright? Helloooo? Earth to Y/N!”

  You startle, blinking. “Oh. Um, y-yeah, I’m okay. Just…not really liking the sight of these things, you know? They’re…” You eye the robots again, stomach coiling. “Unnerving.”

  “Unnerving?” Your friend snorts. “They’re just robots, Y/N. Nothing really unnerving about them. They aren’t even alive!”

  You stare into the visor of the very helicopter-esque orange-and-white-mech standing proudly before the crowd of enamored humans and feel a chill travel down your spine. “I know that,” you say. “I’m just not a fan of them. They aren’t my favorite things in the world. I mean, look at how big they are!”

  “They’re robots meant for search-and-rescue, of course they’re going to be big. But I get it, you think they’re creepy, so we don’t have to go see them if you don’t want to.” Your friend grabs your arm and points to another booth. “How about we check out Dr. Greene’s nanotech instead?”

  You know Dr. Greene; he’s a sort of strange man, clumsy in personality and clumsier with the experiments he makes. Too many times you’ve seen his creations accidentally create havoc across the island, with the fire department and police almost always having to step in to put a stop to the chaos. He’s a good man, you think, because he genuinely seems like he’s aiming to make the world a better place. He just needs to be a bit more…careful with his technology’s programming.

  “Ah, welcome, welcome!” Dr. Greene bids you a greeting with a wide smile. “A great day to see the sights of the future, is it not? Allow me to introduce you to the latest upgrade of my most recent invention!” He gestures enthusiastically to five bipedal robots which look distinctly like mechanical versions of velociraptors from Jurassic Park. Instead of having the angled, sharp-toothed head you expect, however, they simply have a narrow, sleek searchlight with at least three antenna blinking green. “Say hello to the newest version of my search-and-rescue bots, designed specially to work alongside the police department! These beauties have all the best reconnaissance technology within them, giving the police a very helpful hand in tracking down criminals, finding those who are lost, and so much more! They can even read license plates and print car tickets! Isn’t that amazing?”

  “I mean, sure, I guess,” your friend says. “But, don’t we, like…already have people who do that? Plus, those big guys over there seem to have search-and-rescue covered.” They jab a thumb towards the large mechs you two passed.

  “Oh yes, indeed we do! These robots aren’t meant to take people’s jobs. They’re simply here to assist! Cases can be completed 50 times faster than without them! At least…” Dr. Greene glances fleetingly at a clipboard on his table. “That’s what my calculations tell me. I…may have to redo the numbers. But, my belief in the search-and-rescue robots stands! Griffin Rock would greatly benefit from them! And, if they really take off, so would the rest of the world!”

  “...Uh huh. Cool!” Your friend nods. “Can we see them in action?”

  “What?” you exclaim.

  “Why, certainly!” Dr. Greene looks ecstatic. He grabs a touchpad and begins typing something into it. “Just give me a moment to boot them up…”

  “Wait.” You take a step back. “Wait, I-I don’t think I want to see them moving.”

  “Y/N, come on!” Your friend takes your arm and gently steers you back over to their side. “It’s fine! We’re in a controlled environment with the doctor taking care of everything!”

  “A massive convention with creepy-looking robots who are near images of velociraptors doesn’t make me feel like everything is fine!”

  “They aren’t real dinosaurs. They don’t even have mouths! They can’t hurt us. What could possibly go wrong?”

  Five individual beeps sound from the robots. Their heads perk up and their antennas jump to attention. The searchlights sweep over you and your friend, then continue onwards to the rest of the town-wide gathering, taking in every sight they can see. One of them steps off of its perch. The three-toed metal feet thump concerningly against the blacktop as it strides forward.

  Dr. Greene laughs, delighted. “Look at that! It’s already starting to cover ground! Incredible!”

  “You mean, you aren’t making it do that?” you ask him.

  “Well…no. No, I’m not,” he admits. “But, this is in its programming! So everything is going as it should!”

  A crowd congregates around the robot. Everyone gasps in delight and begins taking pictures. A man steps closer and snaps a close-up shot of the bot’s searchlight. This causes it to stumble back a little, its antennas erratic as it shakes its head.

  “Oh, please don’t do that!” Dr. Greene cries over the crowd’s murmur. “They are very sensitive to other technology and their signals! You are allowed to take photos, just do so from a distance!”

  The robot begins making a strange keening noise. It continues throwing its head back and forth, like it's trying to drown out the loud noises and constant flash photography. If you didn’t know any better, you’d say the poor thing is growing quite flustered in its current environment.

  That sense of pity, however, gives under the weight of fear when all five of its antennas turn red.

  The robot thrusts its neck back and screeches. Quicker than you think anyone can anticipate, it turns and charges the same man who took the first flash photo, slamming into him and sending him careening backwards. The crowd’s awe turns into shock; screams echo in the air. Someone’s child starts crying. Mothers and fathers take their kid’s hands and start to run. Others follow suit, and before you know it, a stampede of panicked chaos floods the area around Dr. Greene’s booth.

  “Oh…oh no.” Dr. Greene furiously taps away at his touchpad. “Nonono! It’s too much for the bots’ audidal sensors! They can’t take the amount of stimulatory tension!”

  The robots are going absolutely crazy. People are running and you nearly get stampeded by the panicked mob as they try to get away from the threats. You feel your friend’s hand get ripped from your own, separating the two of you while they scream your name. You scream back, trying to recover and reach them, but someone hits your shoulder, and you fall with a grunt. Dr. Greene’s booth is in shambles. The search-and-rescue bots are off destroying other inert robots and unsuspecting property. One of them, however, focuses on you. It gives a screech, very unpleased with your presence.

  Oh, shit, is all you think. And then you are running as fast as you can, while the robot pelts after in pursuit. You can’t outrun it. You know you can’t outrun it. It’s going to catch you, and then who knows what it will do. You will die, you will be injured, this is why you hate robots, you-

  You look behind you just in time to see a massive mechanical foot slam down on the search-and-rescue bot. It completely shatters, sparks flying from its flayed parts as its roars stutter and gradually go out with a drooping groan.

  You follow the sturdy body of the thing now in the bot’s place with your eyes, up, up, up, until you meet the gaze of the gigantic helicopter mech. It regards you with a tilt of the helm, the ground reverberating with its heavy steps while it moves closer and bends down on one knee. Your heart stutters in your chest while you watch its arm rise with fluid mobility, fingers extending for you, ready to grab you and trap you in their hold. Horror bears upon you. Run, your brain howls. Run.

  You resume your escape just as you feel an index finger touch your shoulder. The mech makes a startled noise, joints creaking as it rises and quickly follows, nearly causing you to fall over again with how absolutely thunderous its feet are when they hit the ground. You don’t know where exactly you are running; you just need to get away from the thing chasing you. This is just too much for you to handle.

  Luck doesn’t seem to be on your side, unfortunately, because as you are pelting across the road that is directly across from the convention’s parking lot, another giant robot skids into view and cuts you off. This one is blue-and-white, with qualities that define it as part of Griffin Rock’s police force. Its sirens are wailing as it holds out both hands, mouth opening to bellow a very authoritative “HALT.” Whoever is controlling this thing does not seem to be happy with you. It takes a lot for you to not just freeze like a deer in the headlights, yet you find it in you to steel your courage and run right between its legs. The robot makes for you, the momentum of its hand whooshing right against your spine. You don’t know how you are still alive at this point, yet you aren’t questioning. As long as you can keep running, you will.

  The street is lined with cars, yet it is empty. Police sirens, not from the robot chasing you, blare in the distance. Your breath comes out in short, frantic puffs, legs protesting with pain in your muscles. But you don’t stop. You can’t stop. You can’t let these robots catch you, you can’t.

  A fire engine’s horn bellows as it makes a sharp turn from a side road and screeches to a halt in front of you. Another vehicle, a large green bulldozer, follows from behind, rumbling past its right and essentially cutting off a possible escape route. You turn in a circle, watching with impending dread as the two robots close in. “Nononono,” you whisper. “What is happening? Why are you doing this?!”

  Loud crunching sounds release from the fire engine and bulldozer as they suddenly condense upon themselves with a shifting of metal. You can only watch in horror as they expand, arms and legs forming along with heads. Both turn into robots equally in stance with the other two. The four of them keep you trapped within the circle. There’s no way out. Panic completely overtakes you, and you collapse to the ground, pulling your hair as you begin to cry.

  The orange-and-white robot gasps-actually gasps-and drops to its knees. “Heyheyhey, c’mon little guy, don’t cry,” it murmurs. “We aren’t going to hurt you. We just want to make sure you’re okay, that’s all.”

  “Blades,” the police robot hisses, lightly shoving the other’s shoulder. “You just gave us away.”

  “Oh, come on Chase, look at them!” The newly-dubbed Blades gestures to you. “They’re scared of us already! Knowing that we’re sentient won’t change anything!”

  Actually, that changes a lot. No longer are you simply dealing with rogue machines. Now you’re face-to-face with robots who can think?! Your panicked wheezes grow worse, and more tears spill down your cheeks.

  “Oh. Oh, geez.” Blades looks like it-he?-wants to help you, yet every time he moves his digits towards you, you shy away with a pathetic cry. “Heatwave, w-what do we do?! How do we calm them?!”

  The fire engine bot steps forward. When you look up at him, the blue vizor over his eyes somewhat obscures his expression, giving you no impression of what to expect. You drop your gaze, unable to hold eye contact for long.

  “Human,” the robot says. “Dry your tears. We are not going to harm you.”

  “Yes, he is right.” The green robot finally speaks. “You see, we are Autobots, hailing from the planet Cybertron, and we have been tasked by our great leader Optimus Prime to protect this island and all the organisms living on it! We-”

  “Boulder, let’s not start with all of the facts right now,” Heatwave cuts off. “They are overwhelmed.” He bends down and closes in on you, huffing out a low exhale of exhaust that lightly tosses your hair back. “Little one, lift your head.”

  You whine softly, responding with a shaky “N-No…”

  “I need you to. Look at me. Please.”

  A single mechanical digit gently tucks under your chin and tilts your head up. When you see the gazes of the four robots now all crowding around you, it makes you want to flinch back. But Heatwave doesn’t allow you to, and he simply murmurs a low reassurance. “Do not be afraid. I swear on my title as an Autobot that we have no intentions of harming you. I mean it. We work together with the Griffin Rock Firehouse Headquarters to protect this island and its inhabitants with the blessing of Optimus Prime himself. We are not Decepticons. We are good.”

  “Optimus huh? Decepticons? I-I don’t know what those mean.” You hold your head in your hands. “I’m so confused…”

  “We know you are, tiny human,” Boulder murmurs sympathetically. “But we promise, we will explain everything to you when the time is right.”

  “Well, maybe not everything,” Chase points out.

  “The point is,” Heatwave continues, “ you are safe. There is no reason to fear us. I promise.”

  “Yeah!” Blades pipes in. “And…for all it is worth, I’m really sorry we chased you. It…wasn’t our best move, I admit. But we just wanted to make sure you were okay. Those robots could have really hurt you.”

  He sounds so sincere. While you are still scared, these mechs…don’t actually seem like they want to kill you. They’re…kind of nice? Your terror begins to fade into mere fear. Swallowing, you whisper a soft “It’s okay.”

  Chase, Blades, and Boulder coo to you affectionately. Heatwave sighs. “You will grow used to us as we spend more time together. Now that you know what we really are, I regret to say that we simply cannot just let you go.” He lowers his hand to the ground and presents it palm-up. “Come with us. We will take you to the firehouse. The Burns family can explain more.”

  You eye the hand warily. Going with them will certainly mean your life will never be the same. But like he said, do you have a choice? You certainly don’t think so. Besides, you know the Burns family. They’re good people, and if these robots are telling the truth, then they can certainly provide more answers for you. So, although with great reluctance, you climb over the massive mechanical fingers and onto the center of his palm. Curling up with your knees tucking to your chest, you let out a low whimper when everything shifts with him lifting you up.

  “Do not be afraid,” Heatwave repeats. His voice is a rumble of thunder. His metal exudes a soothing warmth. “I won’t let you fall.”

  Blades and Boulder smile, with the former giving you a little thumbs up. Chase dips his head in an affirming nod. And Heatwave simply offers a soft look. “Don’t worry,” he says. “You will be okay.”

  For some reason…you find yourself believing him.
