you know what now that I’m caught up on underverse I don’t think we as a fanbase talk enough about how Cross is literally Thee Character Of All Time.
he’s the alternate version of some random guy he destroyed his whole universe by inserting himself into some weird family drama he’s killed several people he’s kinda poor little meow meow with it he’s got a 13 year old stuck in his brain that’s telling him what to do for like half of the series which he tries to get rid of by punching himself in the eye and the worst part is that it works for a little bit. Hes a massive nerd he’s a police officer but he sucks at his job his only real friends are alternate versions of himself four separate multiversal gods on four separate occasions all have beef with him for various reasons he’s got one pair of clothes and when it gets shredded up he’s just like fuck it guess I have a boob window now he made a deal with a proverbial demon and then decided nah I don’t wanna do that anymore and when the demon shows up again to torment him he just beat the piss out of him and called him lame he wore a comically large hat as a baby and his favorite food is tacos. And he’s even transgender.
When people compare Hunter’s redemption arc in The Owl House to Zuko’s redemption arc in Avatar, it’s always so funny to me, because it’s literally like:
