Being a dog dad is something which I have always been certain about since childhood. I remember how I have always felt safest around animals. I loved helping my Granny look after her chickens and ducks. I have always felt a close akin to protecting animals,. As someone who grew up as a Jehovah’s Witness I always think about the story of Noah and how God entrusted him with all the animals, and maybe those who have a close affinity to animals could be said to have the Noah gene. I named Sophy after my baby Sister Charleen Sophy, my sister was my first awakening to loving someone so much, that you even believe their existence is extension of your being.
