Topaz: Getting a few issues in my old age, such as a couple stomach ulcers. Vet put me on three different medicines but I get wet food for my hurting tummy. Today is my rest day! I'll be honest (sorry😝) but last night I got my period and my tummy was really sore. It woke me up at 1:00am so I went to the kitchen and took two tablets for it. I didn't read the packet properly and it said to take them WITH food. I went to Glasgow and hung out with Phillipe today, and I got to meet some of his friends (who are dead lovely!) for the first time which was nice. P took me to mono, a place I’ve heard about for ages from a lot of tumblr folk, where I bought a couple of records that I figured I wouldn’t find in Australia (Joanna Gruesome and Parquet Courts, respectively). I then met up with my Glaswegian lasses and had a generous vegetarian burger at nice n sleazy, where coincidently, I bumped into Phillips PAWS bandmate Ryan, which was kind of crazy? (I’m starting to think everyone is intertwined somehow) Now I’m back in Edinburgh, in my warm bed, after having been awake for about 36 hours straight, straining/struggling, without cause, to keep my eyes open.

Whilst I feel that a lot of good things happened today, I was inadvertently reminded just how imperative it is to be respectful of others, because you never really know what someone may be going through behind closed doors, you know? As sentimentally sappy as that is, that’s the truth, isn’t it? Being kind costs nothing.

Bit of a bizarre, all over the place. post, but then again it was a bizarre, all over the place kind of fucking day. I failed to mention that I superglued my fingers together at one point after trying to fix my jeans, I got scolded on my arm by a strangers cigarette on the high street, I got on the wrong train to Glasgow, and my hairdresser, trying to fix a botched dye job, somewhat nightmarishly/ironically/accidentally managed to dye my hair grey? My drumkit also got sold today which caused me great sorrow ~day in the life of emma.l.r~
