😤 - my muse is in a bad mood
EMOJI STARTERS!
The young crime lord wasn’t having any of it. It had been a long day of failure after failure. Every meeting Kagemitsu no Sato had set up for him had gone south. First, it was the weapon’s dealer. Next, the alchemist. After that was the Aoiro-kai representative. This was especially frustrating. It was difficult enough to even get a meeting with one of their men. They were the most secluded of the remaining triad--both the Sekiro and the Ginro rarely approached them for anything. So the fact that the meeting there went south too--Rei was displeased.
This next meeting was with a lady, a blackmarket trader. He was hoping to use her connections to help fix some of the mistakes made earlier in the day. But his mood was already sour. His one good eye remained narrowed and his jaw tight. Even when trying to force himself to calm down, he seemed incredibly tense.
“Can you do it, or not?!” he barked at the woman. He had intended to be more controlled in his tone, more stern, at least. But that wall was crumbling fast. He had turned to face her so fast, it looked as though he could get caught in his own yukata. His breathing was heavy and it caught in his throat as he paused for a moment, blinking. He reached up with clawed fingers to pinch the bridge of his nose and rubbed his finger into his one good eyelid. He groaned.
“That’s not what I meant...” he lowered his head for a moment, “I really need this deal to go through. Can you perhaps reconsider your price? We can offer non-monetary payment in the form of goods of your choice, but this...rebellion is short on funds right now.” His voice was still clearly tense as he spoke through his teeth, but still. He was trying, at least.
