it would be funny if jupiter ignored her and left so often during the first book because he didn’t wanna see the confusion and anxiety he was causing morrigan by not admitting she was a wundersmith. he just didn’t want to watch or block out her terrified visions of the show trial any longer

but now imagine she does the same thing in silverborn to try and hide the deal. she begins going to practice at wunsoc more and more until she’s hardly ever home. an interesting parallel, wouldn’t you say?

She walked in to light the candles on each of the night stands placed beside the beds. “Here is your room,” She said impatiently. “The bathroom is to the left, and the wardrobe is beside the door.” 

“Oh, we don’t need two beds. Just a double is fine.” Rayla said.

“This is the only room available.” 

Callum glanced back at the other doors. The one closest to him was ajar, unlikely to have a guest in it. He lifted a finger to point. “Are you sure, because–”

“I’m sure.” She glared. “You’re welcome to stay elsewhere if this doesn’t suit your tastes.”

There wouldn’t be an elsewhere till they reached the other side of the border.

“No, this is okay.” Callum surrendered.

“Goodnight then.” She said, with an expression that implied that she did not genuinely wish for them to have a good night. She left the room, closing the door behind her.
