Wow, I have an opinion.
One of the funniest/strangest things to me is to see people protesting Common Core on Facebook. Can we just take a second to talk about this? What exactly is wrong with common core? What exactly is the problem with leveling the playing field for all students. Public schools are trying their best not to fail our students. Common core isn't a "federal hand" in our school systems. Federal laws can't touch public schools, and they never will be able to. As long as a teacher's union still exists the federal government in public schools won't even be remotely close to an issue. Common core is meant to help the failing public schools and allow the country to be equal because there are currently so many inequalities in public schools. If you have children that are currently in a public school, or if you have children at all, I'm not sure how you can simply outright protest Common Core when all it is trying to do is help our students.
In other news, keeping your kids from going to school today to protest Common Core actually does nothing. Pick a new platform. Don't punish your children because you have a problem with the way the world is going.
Ramblings just ignore sorry
