CIARAAA this is such a difficult question but I’m so glad you asked it 😫 My friends and I joke that music is my love language and I loveee to yap about music I love whenever I can. In other words, this is your warning that ur getting a Long Reply. 💛
Picking a top 3 of ALL TIME is almost impossible, so I’m gonna quantify it by choosing which ones I’m guessing I have listened to the most.
1. Liz Phair - Exile in Guyville
While this album is one I only started listening to within the last few years, it’s one that I have so much love for. Before her pop music was being used in movies like 13 Going On 30, Liz Phair was releasing (what I would call) really cool grunge in the 90s. It’s an album with a clear beginning and end with a track list that feels intentional.

2. Phoebe Bridgers - Punisher
I actually bought this record without knowing any of the songs (or any of her music, for that matter), because it was 20% off at my local record store LOL. Cut to me listening to it over and over and over and over and over again. Anyways, I still come back to this album so frequently, but it never grows old.

3. Daughter - If You Leave
I listened to this album SO MUCH in high school. If you asked me my favourite band, Daughter still takes the cake but despite that, I aaaaalmost didn’t add this album to the list JUST BECAUSE my favourite songs by them are scattered across all of their albums. That being said, this album is still iconic to me. Youth was like…THE blorbo song of the early-mid 2010s. If you were there, you know.
