V. Sound Chakra

Located: Throat Deals with : Truth  Blocked by: Lies

I’m never sure what is a lie and what isn’t when it comes to my mental illness. Right now I feel good and I don’t think I’m lying to myself when I say, “I feel fine, everything is okay.” I’m stressed out a bit from school, for sure, but since I’ve started writing, I feel more relaxed and at east. 

I used to tell myself I lied to myself all the time about “feeling better” and everything being okay. For once in my life, I feel good about myself and I am not bogged down by massive self doubt and insecurity. I’m proud of the progress I’ve made.

If I’m lying about anything, it’s when I say, “I’m not hungry.” I’ve started a fasting regime and somehow, 11 AM seems further away when you’re intentionally not eating.

You can not lie about your own nature. You must accept yourself as you are.

The fifth in the chain is the Sound Chakra, located in the throat. It deals with truth, and is blocked by lies- the ones we tell ourselves. You cannot lie about your own nature.
