"Part of a collection of Soundies found at an estate sale that belonged to a guy who used to do maintenance on the Scopitone film juke boxes. The collection contained several 40 minute reels with a number of Soundies included. This Soundie features a World War II mess hall theme with G.I. Joes singing about “Peeling Potatoes”.

Yay, I can finally show you Soundwave! Was waiting for that wig to arrive foreverrrr. But it's perfect! And yes, he stole Pu'er's antenna things but they suit him with this cool repaint. And of course I gave him a Shockwave so he's not lonely lol.

Behold, Soundwave's outfit for working at our table at DollconDallas next week!

Also I'm gonna tag this as a late Day 4: Craft of @look-back-month-challenge ! Because I put this outfit together by dyeing a hoodie I never put on anyone because I didn't like the colors, and making the apron, mask, and shorts out of scrap fabric I had lying around. The white loops on his belt are actually the little thingies Volks uses to secure Dollfie Dreams to the cardboard inside their boxes. I'm so glad I'm a hoarder of random little bits and bobs! And not wanting to spend money forced me to look through everything and whip this up. (We're doing maid outfits for our "working" dolls this year and I forgot to buy actual maid outfits 🙃 luckily I have plenty of dresses that can work for my mom's dollies and a couple other apron styles from outfits past. None of which would have fit Soundwave since they're MSD size SO, here we are)
