Nearly three years to the day since I first posted the Sour Legacy Challenge and Guts is finalllllly ready for you (never thought I'd see the day) 😭🤘✨
Same drill as before: the rules are lax, make this your own, take it slow or fast, use lots of mods and cheats or don't, I don't care—my only hope is that this helps you tell a creative, chaotic story in our favorite little dollhouse game.
Note for gen 1: if you don't have the sticky fingers aspiration in your game, I recommend fabulously wealthy or mansion baron!

I haven't posted in so long. I've been so distracted with the WC that nothing else has existed to me😅 Anyway, I keep flip flopping between sim saves and have been playing with my Sour Legacy (challenge by @dizzywhims) save lately. I'm currently on gen 5, or 6 depending on how you look at it since this challenge starts with gen 0.
Current sim I'm using is called Soren Sanders, son of global superstars Jon and Natsuki Sanders. He's been living in Strangerville for a while now with two of his kids, Clive and Isla, raising them on his own as he struggles to make ends meet.
Childhood
Soren's life seemed perfect on the outside with the rich parents, the best schools, access to all the things he could ever ask for...but much of his childhood was spent in front of a camera everywhere he went. His father is a major influencer, an internet sensation really, who vlogs much of his own life. This included family vlogs once Soren was born and since Jon was a stay-at-home dad while Natsuki spent much of her time on sets, that meant a lot of father-son time.
For a while, Soren never thought much about it, thinking of it as bonding with all the adventures he had with his dad. And really, that's all it was...Jon just wanted to capture every moment with his only child and have permanent copies of those memories. He didn't think there could be consequences for sharing those moments online, though, especially as a celebrity.
For years, Soren went along with most of his dad's antics, but he eventually started to notice that strangers would want pictures of him too. He didn't find it odd since he was used to having his pictures taken, but then it started to feel invasive. He'd notice people with cameras everywhere he and his parents went: the park, the movies, in their neighborhood outside their home. Soren wasn't scared, he was angry! Why did they keep following him? Who even are they? He often shooed these people away and later learned what the "paparazzi" was. By that point, he was being driven to and from private schools in order to prevent his school life from being exploited.
I'll have to post about him in parts cuz I have no screenshots of his teen years. I'll have to look for them or recreate key events. Might try and see if I can find previous generations in my gallery or screenshot folder to share on them too :>
This is Astrid Starr. She grew up in a very rich family in Oasis Springs. Astrid's parents have followed their neighbors lead (the Landgrabbs ofcourse) and have decided enough is enough and that if she cannot live their way, she must leave.
Lilith is still really good friends with Ophelia (Ophelia didn't even mind that Lilith started dating her old flame, Rashidah, and is now pregnant), so Ophelia felt safe telling her that Judith Ward has had a baby, and the other parent isn't her husband...
My poor, homeless, Sour Legacy Challenge sim with nothing but an attitude, a guitar, and a dream <3
I'll mostly only post Legacy updates when something interesting happens lol, but Ziggy will definitely be making random appearances js bc i love his sim so much
