I Do - A Winter Wedding || Closed with Coppergears
This was it. The day had finally arrived. The day where he and his copper companion would finally be joined. And to make everything more special, it was the 24th of December, what most people would call Christmas Eve. Though in the Walter household, they would call it Yulemas. And honestly, there was probably no better day to join two people in love.
Everything had been thoughtfully planned out, and the day before had been spent on decorating, setting everything up, making sure that everything was in order. The living room had been transformed into a Yulemas themed banquet hall, that massive tree shining bright. Tables with drinks and snacks for the human participants, and a table with tea and hot oil for the automatons.
The dark was creeping up on the manor, for it would be a winter wedding, held in the garden. A path had been made, a red carpet having been rolled out to lead the way to a beautiful, white pavillon, where the alter had been placed. All of the trees had been adorned with chains of light, and so had the opening of the pavillon, along with an astonishing amount of white and red roses. And along the path, small torches had been placed on either side, burning beautifully, illuminating the path. Lanterns had been meticulously placed around the garden, some hung on tree branches, and some placed on pedestals. On either side of the isle, the snow had been cleared, so that the chairs could be placed. And all around this wonderland spectacle, heating units had been placed to make sure that no one would be too cold, though warm clothes had been advised for the outdoor ceremony.
Many of the guests had started to arrive. The Jon. Upgrade. Zer0. Michael Reed and Matt Smith. Various employees at Walter Robotics, who worked with the robots. And by the entrance, Alyssa would stand, greeting everyone. She was wearing the most stunning, light blue, off the shoulder dress, a layer of white, delicate, see through lace over the blue fabric. It was knee length, a petticoat underneath to make the skirt a little more voluminous, much like her Walter Worker outfit. Her hair had been put up in a bun, secured by a silvery comb, adorned with rhinestones. Due to the occasion, she had made her makeup a little extra, adding glitter to her eyelids, as well as a small drizzle in her dual colored locks. And to complete the look? A pair of silvery high heels.
Key-Lock was outside, showing the guests to their assigned seats. She was wearing a gorgeous, Victorian gown in black silk, with dusins upon dusins of rhinestones and sequins embroidered onto it. It was the same dress she had used for Halloween, but it was the prettiest gown she owned, and she wanted it to be special. She wore long, white gloves, her hair was hanging loosely, as opposed to her usual, low ponytail. And her hair, too, had been dusted with a slight amount of silver glitter, just as Alyssa.
Now, as for the groom. Well, one of them, at least. He was getting ready in The Hall of Wires. He had ditched the fedora, his hair being as neatly combed back as ever. He wore a black tuxedo with red, silk lining, a white dress shirt, a white, Victorian waistcoat with subtle, silver embroidery, and a white butterfly to match. He even wore cuff links, in the shape of silver giraffes with emeralds as eyes. And on his feet? A pair of shiny, black shoes. He had probably never looked quite as good in his entire life, as he did right now. Why, he almost looked like a prince who had stepped straight out of a fairy tale.
It was almost time, and as The Spine adjusted that bow tie a little, looking himself over in the mirror, he could feel the nerves setting in. But not in a negative way. He was.... More excited than he had ever been. He would soon walk down that isle, waiting for his beloved to arrive. And he would soon get to finally tell him “I do.”
