A comission from a Friend for an NPC in his campaign; Hephaestus. He's a Mongrelfolk Alchemist who got bullied by a Black Dragon who lived on the moon until the party murdered the dragon and adopted this squishy man.

I’ve been thinking about this since episode one of Critical Role Calamity and as the episodes have gone in it’s become brainrot but now that it’s confirmed Elais and Evandrin are on another plane.

So hear me out, Evandrin and Elais wander the cosmos, the outer planes, other spheres, and hop around from a few places, but Evandrin needs powerful magic or curse breaking or something to save Zerxus, and eventually find their way to Sigil, the City of Doors, The Cage, one of the few places in the multiverse where Gods aren’t allowed. So they could be safe from a betrayer God! Elais grows up in this strange but exciting place while Evandrin has the resources to research a way to bring Zerxus back and free him from the Lord of Lies.

Years pass and maybe Elais is like a young adventurer now (like 23 years old or something) and while Evandrin searches for a solution he also runs a shop or something and Elais helps around. Maybe Elais and Evandrin have been studying the Star power (possibly the Luxon) and both have become proficient at using that power and Evandrin uses it to save Zerxus somehow.

It could be a cute and hopeful uplifting and not tragic “Save your lost love” spin off. Brennan could be a player character as Evandrin, Luis could come back as Zerxus, maybe Elais is a player character too. They could do a Space Jammer game setting since they’re not on Exandria anymore. They should have a Gith ally for sure. Maybe a space Orc. I don’t know who I’d want to DM, probably Aabria, I feel like she enough of a romantic to really give us some First Knights of Avalir kissing☺️ and happy wholesome family reunion and heal all the (beautifully and masterfully executed) brutal tragedy we just endured.

I just really want two things

1) Zerxus, Evandrin and Elais to be reunited and safe from the Lord of Lies and to live happily ever after because it’s Pride and they deserve to be happy. (Which I choose to believe regardless of what happens, it’s Pride, they lived happily ever after because Evandrin and Zerxus believed in eachother😭)

2) Anwsers to what the hell Zerxus was tapping into, Is it the Luxon? Is it the sibling who’s name Asmodeus can’t remember? Is it just belief? A mortal ability to worship the self almost like a being in tune with your higher self? If it is the Luxon, how linked to time travel is it? Could Evandrin turn back time to save his husband? Idk I have so many questions.

Just let the Paladin Husbands be reunited please! This has also been my brainrot for weeks so maybe I’ll draw something for it or write a fanfic, we’ll see lol.
