In regards to Caliborn being Felt-kin: Let us not forget that Leprechaun's express romance through dancing, and that during his one scene in the epilogue Caliborn was seen privately dancing with lil Cal. The implication seeming to be that he has a sincere desire for a kind of romance unrelated to giant snake hate sex, yet only feels comfortable exploring this desire with an empty puppet.

That's just the thing isn't it? Right now the crystal gems DON'T seem justified in hunting down the corrupted Gems. I can understand them bubbling gem beasts who attack their temple, or bubbling gem beasts who attack humans, that would be justified but that's not really what we see them doing most of the time. Instead, they go to remote area's where there are no humans around (AKA the monster's homes), attack the corrupted gems (often unprovoked), and then imprison them indefinitely.

"so at least having them bubbled seems like a way to keep them safe and not suffering" the corrupted gems don't really seem to be suffering though, not until the crystal gems start punching them at least. Their minds and bodies aren't what they used to be, but they very clearly still have minds and bodies and they fight to stay alive when assaulted. Some are dangerious, but many of them live in remote areas far away from humans and seem perfectly happy to just exist in the wild in peace.

yeah, its really unclear what the problem even is with them? i only assumed they must be suffering or in pain in some way because otherwise the crystal gems have no justification for hunting them down (especially ones like the heaven beatle who are completely harmless)
