never been really good at leveling my horses, but my new project is bringing the horses to at least level 10. Swampy is done and Pärlan is up next!
10, 21, 22!
Bookmarks, dog ears or leaving the novel open and face down to keep your spot? I use bookmarks, but those are all kind of stuff I have in hand like postcards, scraps of paper etc.
Ideal reading position? Slouching on my sofa
Hardcover or paperback? Hardcover all the way, those last better, are easier to fix if they do break down (In my very colorful career I’ve been working in a library as a book fixer, and trying to glue paperbacks back together is pain in the ass) plus they work as a weapon if someone comes and interrupts my reading.
Thanks for asking!
book asks: 3, 4, 6, 12?
3. Are there any genres you will not read?
i won’t read non-fiction of any form, but that’s just because i get.... so bored. even if it’s on a topic i find interesting, i can’t do it. i immediately zone out and it’s just not a good time. i also tend to steer away from realistic fiction or anything that looks like it’s going to be focused on petty drama or revolve around misunderstandings and miscommunication
4. Are you a fast or slow reader?
slowwwwwwww god it bothers me so much but i’ve always been a slow reader. i think too much when i read, and i also tend to just.... skip paragraphs and then i have to reread them and it’s just ksdbjksdb annoying
6. Are you the type of person who will read a book to the end whether you like it or not, or will you put it down straight away if you’re not feeling into it?
answered!
12. Do you need to finish a book before you can move on to the next one, or will you have multiple books going at once?
uhhh i would say that i usually define myself as having to finish a book before i can move on to the next (bc i won’t stop reading a book unless i find it boring, and in that case i won’t ever come back to it) but i have a feeling that i’m going to have multiple books going at once soon now that i’m reading translated novels that are being uploaded one chapter at a time (tho i am purposefully trying to start with the ones that are already completely translated)
