I've tried phrasing this a couple of times, but it sounds awkward every time. I'm looking to expand my art/drawing reference library. Did they assign a textbook or class reference for the color theory class?
Oh yes! It’s actually a book I already owned too, just because it’s an excellent guide. James Gurney’s “Color and Light”. It focuses more on color for traditional painters, but the basics are the same and there’s a lot of good information broken down in an easily digestible way. He’s also got some good videos on his website.
And don’t worry! That didn’t sound awkward, and I totally recommend expanding your reference library! I’ve been doing exactly that a lot lately.
