okay so this was an idea, that kind of got a little out of control. Dean decides for Sam's Birthday to get him high, to make sure Sam tries it at least once. Which leads to watching syncing Wizard of Oz and Darkside of the moon, which leads to a discussion of How weird it is that they know Dorothy. which leads to a discussion about the supernatural books and the fans of the books, and that leads to sex. all of it totally makes sense, except the sex, that doesn't make any fucking sense.

So true, man. When I heard him say that I honestly thought I had been thinking about Sam's age wrong for years; how could Jared possibly get his character's age wrong? That's basic information, man.

Largely because of the retrospective, in which Jared said something about Sam being nineteen at the time of the pilot... Where both Sam and Jared were meant to be (around, but most likely) twenty-two, based on the fact that Sam is four years younger than Dean, and in the fourth season episode The Curious Case of Dean Winchester, Sam says, "you're thirty, Dean!", making Dean twenty-six and Sam twenty-two in season 1. But in the retrospective, Jared says Sam was nineteen in the pilot.
