Fallen Petals

A petal lay fallen, withered and alone.

Like a broken dream, lost yet unforgotten.

A fragment of failure.

A crippling reminder of how far we have fallen.

Lest we forget the flower above...

A bloom of brilliance. A flourishing fragrance.

...for we are more than what we've lost.

Thoughts constrained

An empty fate

Boundless ends

My will abates

No time for amends

Reflect

I gaze into the mirror.

My eyes meet another. They stand before me.

confused alone empty

I wonder for a moment, "Can it even think for itself"

With pity I turn away, leaving that husk of a person to rot...

Onward

Darkness comes over me.

my memories fail me my eyes deceive me my thoughts taunt me

I open my eyes.

my brow furrows my face steadies my heart grows hot

Breath of the cool breeze.

Onward
