i have a weird situation where i live in an “unincorporated” area of my county, so while i have a town on my mailing address, i’m not technically a resident, so i cant get a free library card :( my neighborhood is literally a dark spot on the town map lmao

the flash forwards making things feel final but not unfinished. i loved the satisfaction of knowing the entire story, for the most part, even after the storyline linearly ended.

I'm such a baby about horror movies, but I really want to see Get Out. How scary was it?

I don’t think it’s THAT scary, if we’re using scary to mean like jump-scare, blood-and-guts type scary. There is a sort of underlying buzz of tension almost the entire movie, obviously, and psychologically it’s pretty unnerving even just on the social commentary level, but it’s not trying to be Saw or Blair Witch Project or whatever. Also it does tend to relieve tension quite well by adding humour. 

I watched it with a friend who doesn’t like horror movies but wanted to see it because of what it is, and she thought it was creepy ofc but really liked it.
