Sorry if this has been asked before, is any part of the game's environment going to be procedurally generated or will you have to build every "map" by hand, so to speak?

All of the maps are going to be built by hand, but I have considered putting in some small dungeons that use randomly generated layouts.

Since the game has scripted enemy encounters instead of random encounters, I want to avoid the issue of the player being able to run out of healing items or money. I think I’ve solved running out of healing items, but I want to leave the option of playing through a minidungeon if you want more money and items. Having a random layout will make it feel less like grinding.

I think that’s the only grinding in the game. It’s completely optional, and it won’t even be that bad if it’s randomly generated.

Can i redirect the damage done to me by Heartless Hidetsugu to my planeswalker instead, or can i only use the redirection effect on the damage dealt to my opponents and their planeswalkers, but not myself?

You can only redirect noncombat damage from a source you control that would be dealt to an opponent. Damage that would be dealt to you by a source you control can’t be redirected, and your opponents control if damage from their sources is redirected to your planeswalker or not.

Planeswalkers are friends, not meat shields.

I'm a little curious if anyone suggested an ostrich or other ratite for your bird menagerie? Given how different their forms are from flying birds i think it would be interesting (but probably challenging as well) to alter a model to resemble a running dinosaur-bird :D

Hmm… you have a good point. I’ll worry about that when it comes around, since I already have enough birds to worry about! Hahah!

The different areas have different groups of birds, and the first area (which is in the demo) has mostly tropical birds and some foresty birds. I’m primarily focusing on adding those for now.

OMFG yes, extremely helpful, thank you! I've been trying to place that piece of music for-fucking-ever, especially since it's in EVERYTHING. I've literally heard it in every genre of every kind of media with sound. Like, there's a snip of it in Iron Man 3 near the end when the extraneous armors are self destructing, there's the same snip of it in one piece of the background music of AC4: Black Flag (I seem to hear it a lot when running around Kingston), and it's in so many trailers.

It was driving me up the walls because I'd try placing it and couldn't remember where I'd heard it, like the audio version of "where the fuck have i seen that actor before, omg it's going to drive me crazy until i figure it out." And I've seen Sunshine, it's one of my favourite movies but I don't watch it very often because it's kind of heavy and emotionally exhausting (in all the best ways) so unlike some other movies I really like, I don't have the sound pattern of the film memorized. And when I'd try pointing out the snippets of it in things to my friends to see if they recognized it, I got blank stares (because I forget that most people don't constantly mentally catalog the majority of sounds they hear, yay autism X_X) 'cause they legit hadn't realized it was a common piece of music until I pointed it out and even then they could only think of trailers they'd heard it from which didn't help me.

So it's literally been years of that irritating "wtf is that from?" feeling and now I finally know what it's from and what it's called AND I'M SO GOD DAMN RELIEVED AND HAPPY ABOUT IT. Like, I did a little happy spin-around in my chair and hugged my cat, haha.
