Super complex particle physics and one Quark from Star Trek DS9
Buckle up nerds we're going to space
Recently I had an epiphany while watching Star Trek DS9, as I often do, and within this epiphany existed one lone catalyst, Quark's name.
Now as I'm sure most of you know Quark shares his name with the super-small particle that makes up things such as protons. Now I'm not interested in what this means for his character, maybe something like without him the entire ship would fall apart or some crap no no. What I am particularly interested in is what this means on a literal level.
Let's get into it.
1) I'm breaking him into smaller bits
Due to the existence of Quark we can assume that this means he can be split into 6 different factions,
Up Quark Top Quark¹ Strange Quark
Down Quark Bottom Quark Charm Quark
(Use that imagination I know you have and pretend it's in a chart)
Now this has many implications but for simplicity's sake we'll just assume that this fits into the alternate universe theory that Star Trek so lovingly likes to use as a plot device.
This also has the implication that Quark exists in pairs but because of the fact that he is the original he is the only one that does not have a counter part which is pretty sad actualy.
(Odo. Odo is his counter part)
2) Super Symetrical Counterparts
(If you understand this your a fucking nerd)
Now if you thought that was unnecessary get ready for this next part it'll blow your mind.
Due to the existence of Quark we can safely assume he has a Supersymetrical Counterpart of whom, of course, goes by the name Squark.
Now what would a supersymetric Quark look like? Proboubly a ball but I'd like to imagine an image croped to have half his face on both sides you know what I mean.
3) More Friends
Now as many of you have probably found the trend here I'll make this short if Squark exists that means
Sup Squark Stop Squark Sstrange Squrak
Sdown Squark Sbottom Squark Scharm Squark
all also exist. So not 7 but 14 of those guys just walking around but as we all know those Squarks are not as cool they have no spin
¹the top Quark is only theoretical is has not actually been discovered yet
(Yes I am queer)
