Lemme just say something. If youre gonna say some ablist shit in games or kick someone from a match because theyre not able to complete some components of the game, dont fucking play it.
I was in an Among Us match with this pair of siblings- a sister with her little brother. She explaines before the match that her brother was disables and he couldnt start reactor, calibrate the panel in eletric, or type in chat.
So the game goes on and a body is reported. Someone accused her brother because he walked by the body. Okay, thats fine.
But then the usual "Blues silent. Thats sus."
Once again, his sister explained that he couldnt type in chat to defend himself. People in the game voted and got him kicked from the game.
She called an emergency meeting and asked who voted her brother off, and then the dudes that voted him left.
She asked if her brother could rejoin- and of course I said yes! He was a delight to play with.
After the last match we played, this is what happened.
"We need more people like you"
That sentence alone.
Thats the reason I want to persue the special educations field. There arent enough people like me. There arent enough people who take into consideration other peoples disabilities, who still treat those who have disabilities like an equal not like an inferior, and people who are patient and willing to work with them.
If youre going to play a game, take into consideration of the other players. It can literally make someones day.
