TRIGGER: Special Commemorative Interview (Palmate Extra: TRIGGER Set Bonus)
Thank you TENNINl for providing pics of the bonus sheet that comes when you order all three TRIGGER figures! I had a bit of down time during work (shh) to crank out a quick translation of the cute interview, as requested.

To celebrate the release of the TRIGGER Palmates, we sat Kujou Tenn-san, Yaotome Gaku-san, and Tsunashi Ryuunosuke-san down for an interview.
Before we get started, congratulations on getting figures!
TENN: Thank you. RYUUNOSUKE: I was really surprised when I found out! GAKU: I don’t really know much about this kind of stuff, so I had no clue what was going on when I first heard about it. (laughs) T: It’s nice that they’re turning us into something that could make our fans feel like we’re right by their side.
Any comments on the photoshoot for the figures?
R: Shooting reference photos for the figures was definitely a new experience! G: I thought a lot about what types of poses to do and what kinds of expressions I should make, with the end product in mind. R: He definitely did. All of your poses were really spot-on, Gaku! G: Damn, it’s kinda embarrassing when you say it so directly. T: It’s a little surreal hearing that from the man who corrected Ryuu and told him to spread the vents of his jacket more “so it’ll look cool as hell.” (1) G: Hey, you don’t have to tell them that! R: (laughs) You don’t hear those kinds of directions very often in photoshoots. You know, he also told Tenn, “I think it’ll look more sensual if you angle your hands like this instead.” T: ...Long story short, these figures were made possible through our collaborative efforts.
How have the people around you reacted to the figures?
G: When we went out for drinks with some members of IDOLiSH7, Nikaidou and the older Izumi imitated my pose for pictures. (laughs) That, and Osaka talked quite a bit about Ryuu’s figure and highlighted all of the good points. R: I was a little embarrassed by that! Sougo-kun, Tamaki-kun told me that you pre-ordered the figure! Nagi-kun knows quite a lot about figures, so I think he’s the one who told Sougo-kun that “pre-ordering is key.” T: The fans who pre-ordered have been patiently waiting for our figures to come out as well…. We’re happy that we can finally present them to you!
Last but not least, what would you like to tell your fans?
T: During the times when we can’t meet and you feel lonely, I hope these figures will make you feel like we’re right besides you. That would make me really happy! R: I agree! That’d be really nice. We’ll always be by your side—that’s what I want the fans to know. G: Exactly. Even in figure form, TRIGGER’s the best. Got it?
Thank you very much!
TL Notes/comments:
(1) I WAS deeply confused for several seconds because 裾(すそ)usually refers to the hem of the clothing, and the fact that Gaku was referring to the action of spreading/widening something immediately thought of uhhhh mister tsunashi showing off his polished pecs since that is indeed a widening action BUT NEVERTHELESS i google image’d the exact phrase ジャケットの裾 and TURNS OUT that includes the back flappy bits of a suit. YEAH, SO --> while vents is technically terminology for idk like tailored suits, i have no clue what else to call them but mystery solved!!!!!!!! thats literally it
WHAT A CUTE INTERVIEW!!! I don’t normally take requests, but since this was so short and sweet it was a breeze and I needed something to help me get back into the rhythm.
LIFE IS STILL CRAZY but hopefully I’ll find a good work-life rhythm and get some much-needed time to myself to crank out a couple bits of part 3! Thank you all again for all of your patience, and hopefully I’ll be posting soon again!
As always, if you see any mistakes/mistranslations/etc, please message me!
