Why are kids assholes
I have a meeting with my son’s teachers Friday morning and his entire support staff, we’re hopefully getting everyone on the same page as far as his social and peer groups, educational needs, reminding the general education staff that he has an IEP that legally needs followed as well as adding in specialized instruction elements to that IEP.
It doesn’t help that in the past 2 months he has had a complete upheaval of his emotional support team. (His long term teachers left without notice, then the replacements quit without notice) Now the current teachers seem hell bent on staying, which is good! For a group of kids who thrive on routine those sudden changes threw them all for a loop and I do not envy the teachers thrown into the situation.
I’m considering all my notes to the teachers, and phone calls wondering WTF is going on, a win. We’ll see Friday.
