He knew he was maybe getting a little too close, that someone could be snapping a picture at any moment, but for now, he didn’t care. What was the point of an invitation with a plus one for his wife if he didn’t get to see you all night? This was the first time he even had a spare moment to ask you to dance, and he desperately loved to dance with you. Not that he was an especially good dancer, but he loved having a reason to just hold you close and let gravity pull the both of you around.

“It’s ok, I promise,” you told him, despite how tired you were and how you’d had to adjust one too many hands that dipped too low on your back while dancing that night. All you needed was this moment to make all the rest of them worth it.

“We’re going to accept fewer of these invitations from now on,” Shouto resolved, wrapping both of his hands around your back so he could dip you, just a bit, before sealing the promise with a kiss. “We don’t have to show off any more, I don’t care about the ratings. It’s all fake anyway. We don’t have to put on a show and dance for them.”

10. what are your strengths wrt writing?

I didn’t think answering this one would be as difficult as it was to answer, alas I was mistaken. I think that sometimes I can describe feelings well. I also think that I’m generally good about writing dialogue like actual people speaking and not robots trying to emulate human speech XD Generally I think the flow of my writing is pretty solid too?

11. what are your weaknesses wrt writing?

Plot! Plot! PLOT! It’s so difficult to figure out what’s going to actually happen half the time! Like people ask what a WIP is about and I’m like “Todoroki! Umbrella! Rain! HAND HOLDING” and they have to kinda be like “haha great, but what happens?” And I have to be like:

Like, there is nothing deep here. Just emotion and a desire for fuzzies. I do not plot. I start writing and pray I figure out what the story is about somewhere along the way.
