If you could pitch a Marvel/DC crossover title tomorrow, what would it be and what would you want for the first story arc?
So first off: Super obvious answer is it’s about Starfire and Peter Parker. Spiderfire, obvs, tho I don’t really know what the book would be called. Maybe just Starfire + Spider-Man. Who knows
Second: It’d probably follow reaaaally close to the roleplay universe @goofyzachial and I have built for them. It’s been going on for four years as of this month, and while some stuff would need some changing for story-telling purposes, there’s soooo much to use in terms of story arcs. We’ve actually already got the rp Spiderfire Verse split up into arcs, so it wouldn’t be too hard to translate it to comicbook form.
It’d follow after the end of the TT 03 series, at least by a few years. Spidey’s a biiiit closer to maybe something you’d see in TSSM, though things like Venom haven’t happened just yet. Star is about 18, Petey is 19. And of course, they meet when Star decides to see the big apple…
And is subsequently disappointed.
A lot of the first arc is the both of them getting to know each other; Becoming friends, Peter trusting Star enough to take off his mask (though arguably he didn’t have too much of a choice in the matter), talking about Star’s crappy sister ala Blackfire, dating, as well as Peter opening up about what happened to Gwen.
Spoilers: She’s dead, and it’s very much the Green Goblin’s fault.
Norman’s vamoosed out of town though, and it’s been a little more than a year since he did. When he does return, Peter takes it about as well as you think, and nearly storms off to kill him. Star, bein’ Star, stops him.
Eventually they do swing by the Osborn Penthouse, but only for Harry’s sake, and that’s when Harry gets introduced. He ends up playing larger roles in later arcs.
Peter and Harry go off to talk…
And Starfire runs into Normie himself. And a beautiful, beautiful, mutual hatred begins that will affect Star, Peter, and Harry for a very, very, very long time.
We also get a brief Blackfire and Norman team-up, though it goes about as well as you’d think, and is the end to the first arc.
Of course between all of that, Star makes some other friends like Nightcrawler and Wolverine, Peter meets the Titans and Silkie, and Star even gets the Aunt May Stamp Of Approval™
