where the ff don't find out the extent of Spidey (Peter) and Johnny’s relationship until after Johnny’s (at least presumed) death

A further idea

At one of the ff get pissed at/resentful towards Spidey for some Johnny related reason (because grief can make people irrational)

[maybe spidey didn’t show up to Johnny’s funeral (bc Peter was too depressed but they don’t know that),

maybe he showed up at some Johnny significant location or something and they feel he crossed some line bc they weren’t close enough for that, (like what right do you have to act like you lost everything, when you lost a friend/acquaintance, but i lost a part of my family/world, you don’t understand what I’m feeling rn)

Idk idk]

But whatever the situation is maybe it leads to a moment like:

“I loved him and I miss him so much”

“Everyone loved Johnny—” **

“No, you don’t get it, I really loved Johnny”

Oh. Oh.

Que the realization of what he means and that he isn’t lying about it either

Also a reflection on Johnny and Spidey/peter from their perspective

Then they do some healing/grieving stuff together

**alternatively “We all loved Johnny—” I couldn’t make up my mind
