Noiz was so happy. He had finally finished his nipple collage, which had taken him a full month. What he had had to do was take a picture of his nipple for an entire month, and Photoshop it all into one big collage, with “noiz’s nipple collage” in big green Chalkboard font at the bottom. And he had done it.

Wanting to get that trash from his computer, he moved the file to his phone, with the intention of sending it to his friend from there.

He attached his image to the and went to the next screen to choose a contact to send the text to. While scrolling down, his thumb accidentally hit a random name. Shit. No.

The text sent to Matsuoka Rin. Of course, now he would never hear the end of Nipple Collage. Noiz threw his phone across the room, loathing the machine’s capability of ruining his day with its simple functions.

He should have just kept it on the computer.

Noiz had made sure that when he agreed to go holiday shopping with Rin, he had established that he was not in a mood to fuck around.

Rin had simply rolled his eyes and agreed. Noiz thought they had had a mutual understanding.

That was until the snowball hit him on the back of the head. The force of the impact was enough to be felt under his hat. Frigid ice and water trickled down his back, making him spasm slightly. Noiz turned around, confronting an aloof looking Rin. His hands were in his pockets, like nothing had happened. Well, he had another thing coming.

"Didn’t we talk about this before we left?" Noiz hissed, holding his shirt open to let the snow fall from his back. Dammit, that shirt had been newly washed, too.

Rin just shrugged in response.

"I wasn’t fuckin’ around or anything. I just wanted to get your attention." Noiz could tell that the redhead was trying hard to keep a straight face, but for a short moment, the corner of his lip twitched into a smile. Oh, so that was how he felt, hm?

In a quick and swift movement, Noiz scooped up a handful of snow, chucking it at Rin’s face. The snowball hit the man smack in the middle of his face, and Noiz smirked, overjoyed at the accuracy of his throw.

"… Noiz!"

"What? I was just getting your attention, moron."

Rin growled, picking up another snowball and throwing it towards Noiz, who too picked up a snowball to throw. The ice was flying, and both boys had no intention of stopping anytime soon. Yes, to be a man.

It was quite a sight, seeing two “adults” engage in a full-out snowball fight. Those who witnessed that cold war still tell their children of the tale, even to this day.

"Never," Mother would say to child, "ever end up like those two. Oooh, it was such a cold day in Nox that afternoon…"

"Yes, mom," The children would reply. "Of course."

Wear Rin’s clothes for a dare

Kahoko stared at herself in the mirror wandering at the peculiar predicament she had gotten herself into. She was currently standing in Rin’s bedroom dressed in his clothing or perhaps drowning was a more fitting term since everything was practically hanging off her smaller frame.

Dare or no dare this was perhaps not such a good idea after all…

Turning this way and that, she tried to see if there was anything she could do to improve the situation but she was already wearing a belt that wasn’t doing too good of a job and she had just about given up on the top after pulling the shirt back onto her shoulders of the umpteenth time.

In short it was just about hopeless…

"Kahoooo, ya nearly done?"

No… 

Glancing hesitantly at the door, she tried to unearth her hands from the super long sleeves though it was quite a mission to do so and reluctantly called out to her Hero on the other side.

"Herooooo, do I have to do this?"

The reply was instantaneous, accompanied by an indignant snort as if it was preposterous to even question the inevitability of her fate.

"Of course Kaho, it’s a dare now out ya come."

A defeated sigh escaped her lips as she slowly hedged her way across the room to wear the closed door lay, her progress suddenly halted when the lengthy pant bottoms became entangled and sent her to the floor with an undignified THUMP!

"Waaaaaaah!"

Her Hero had obviously heard the crash and her cry of distress and wasted no time to fling the door open, his red eyes were wide with worry as they panned over the room to find her, at last coming to rest on her spread eagled form on the ground.

Slowly inching herself into a seated position, she gazed over to her silent rescuer to find his head lowered and his shoulders shaking. It took her a moment to realise that he was trying desperately to contain his laughter although from the looks of things it was a losing battle.

Soon howls of mirth filled the room and she looked on disgruntled as her Hero sank to the floor when he could no longer stand.

"Y-You can take it off now…"

Abandoning him to resume his laughing fit, she hurriedly seized her clothes and scuttled in the direction of the bathroom while trying not to fall over again.

That was the last dare she was doing for a while…

Noiz rubbed at his temple out of pure frustration. He would have to start over yet again. Christ, rapping was difficult. Noiz restarted his track and took a few more moments to get used to the beat.

Noiz was aware that he looked a little foolish practicing his verses is public, and it he had any shame at all, he would have packed up and left a while ago. However Noiz had very little shame as well as a lot of practicing to do.

"..." 

He was about to resume his practice when he noticed someone watching him from afar. He had his eyes fixed curiously on Noiz.

Red String of Fate

41. Our muses are destined to find each other whilst both picking the same red apple from the basket.

Kahoko just couldn’t believe it, it was a coincidence of epic proportion, no… it was fate! There was no other way to describe the situation of her Hero’s hand grabbing onto the exact same apple that she was holding onto at the exact same time.

Judging by the astounded look on her Hero’s face, she could easily say that he was just about as shell-shocked as she was. Since grabbing onto the apple, the both of them had simply alternated gazes between each other and their hands which were slightly interwoven from the attempt at seizing the apple for themselves.

It wasn’t hard to recall the first time they had met, the day when her apple had rolled right into the public swimming pool and the lifeguard on duty, aka her Hero, had fished it out for her. Even now she could still picture his teasing grin as he nonchalantly handed it over, as if the whole incident was all in a days work. It was also the day when she had given her Hero his nickname and received her own from him in return, the day their bond had begun to form before growing into the brother/sister relationship they shared now despite being unrelated.

It truly was amazing that an apple of all things had brought them together once more….

Turning her golden eyed gaze in her Hero’s direction for the umpteenth time in however many minutes had past since they grabbed the apple, she offered him a jovial grin. Her eyes were sparkling with a hint of mirth and her teasing tone when she spoke further emphasised the amusement she now saw in their predicament. 

"So we meet again Rin, the Hero of all apples in distress~"

Rin and Noiz were not a duo to mess with.

Teenage boys had their shenanigans, of course. They did stupid things for stupid reasons, purely for sport. However, those two took their bullshit quite seriously.

Which is why they formed a rap duo. They knew that they were fairly talented. When they began battling with other rappers in the region and began winning, they grew addicted. The money, the fame, and the absolute glory went to their heads. They couldn’t possibly lose, not with all the luck on their side.

They rapped when Rin wasn’t practicing his swimming, or when Noiz wasn’t on the computer. They practiced verses in public, in private, and  when Rin was working,

Slowly, they were becoming the rap kings of Nox.

This guy was blocking her way and Kyoko was quite quickly losing her patience. All she needed to do was get past him and she’d be halfway back to where she had left her stick and if this ignorant tree stopped her from getting to it before someone decided to snatch it up then he would certainly make an enemy for life.

"Oi, can you move please? I’m kinda in a hurry." He still didn’t move. Kyoko tried to go around but the street was so crowded. Why was he stopped in the middle of a busy street anyway? Was he trying to be a hazard?

"Hey!" Kyoko shouted, a little louder. No response. This was getting to be a joke, so Kyoko stuck out her elbow and moved him herself. He stumbled into a woman he shouted in protest and hit him with her handbag. The boy turned to Kyoko, a look of fury on his face.

"What was that for?!"

"I asked you to move about a million times, you didn’t, so I moved you." Kyoko flashed a victory sign and ran off. "Later, loser!"
