been thinking alot about salmonid food. idk how much it veries between tribes but I have quite a few memories of what I ate. I remember we used to have a spicy porridge-esque dish, it was like, herb-y kinda spicy y'know? in fact I think we really liked spicy food. one time we also had something that tasted kinda like pulled pork and potatoes? I say "kinda like" because mammals- including pigs-are extinct in splatoon, so idk what it was but it wasn't pork lol -were-salmonid, splatoon(🍰)

welp. update on the "idk how I became a salmonid" situation: depending on how it progresses, I might be from the splatoon inspired analog horror series "the grizzco tapes". might be Kaia. might be whatever's responsible for her disappearance. its still ongoing so we'll have to wait and see. love having noemata in the form of daydreams. just had dinner around the fire with my friend and the rest of our tribe. chef made stew. it didn't have any meat in it because we haven't had much time to hunt with all the salmon runs recently. my friend is a snatcher who's training to be on the front lines, he's been making good progress. me and him got into a play-fight and spilled our stew. we had to do the dishes to make it up to chef for spilling the food she made. -were-salmonid, splatoon(🍰)

y'know i think being a salmonid gives me a really interesting view on stuff like hunting and predator instincts, because for salmonids being eaten is like. the goal. it's kinda seen as the ultimate warriors death. we fight for our community, and then we give back to the earth by feeding others! -were-salmonid, splatoon(🍰)(p.s. also wanted to clarify the whole craving salmon thing lol)
