"I'm all of our doubts and fears and drive! Without me we're nothing!"
"You have no power over me!"
There was no response. Kat knew why. There was that voice in the back of her head again, waiting for her to mess up.

"I'm all of our doubts and fears and drive! Without me we're nothing!"
"You have no power over me!"
There was no response. Kat knew why. There was that voice in the back of her head again, waiting for her to mess up.

"Shut up!"
"Is that all you're going to do? Tell me to stop talking? And why should I? You've been thinking these thoughts for years now. I'm just voicing them."
"I don't think those things!"
"You don't now, but when we're one person again..."
"Those thoughts are stupid and false!"
"But we have them! We doubt ourselves constantly! We fear we'll do something wrong and will be left alone forever!"
--

"Nobody likes you. They don't want you. That's why Eleven hasn't found you yet. If he actually wanted to find you, he would."
"That's not true."
"Yes it is. You're annoying and slow and weird. You could be doing so much with your life, but instead you hide away and act helpless." A sound of disgust. "The only reason you act nice to everyone is because you hope they'll be nice in return."
"Shut up, shut up, shut up!"
"You could be top of the class! People would die to get to be your friend! But no! You sit here meekly and wait for people to notice you!"
--
--
"Huh? Th-that's not true! Plenty of people like me!" the quiet Kat protested.
"Yeah, right. That's why you can't keep a friend for more than two years. Face it, you're more like a shiny bauble to people. Something to be interested in for a while and then abandoned because you're useless." The loud Kat leaned back again the wall. "Why so quiet? Because you know it's true?"
"You lie."
"But I'm you. Why would I lie to myself?"

The Spine was confused and worried. There were two Kats and one was doing her best to make the other cry. The Spine walked up to the sad one and rubbed against her legs.
"What are you even doing, hiding here in your room? You should be out there exploring! We've got the entire TARDIS, all of time and space, and portals to other universes!"
"I'm not visiting other 'verses without permission, and I've been exploring. I just use the room for downtime." The loud one snorted.
"You go off alone because you know that nobody likes you."
--
--
The two Kats were not getting along.
"You don't need to be so rude."
"You don't need to be so meek. Seriously, that isn't going to get you anywhere in life."
"Neither is being rude to everybody."
--
So, um, there are two of me now. And both of us are blind. And she's kind of rude and loud and I don't like her. And we've got one computer.

Kat wasn’t able to see the message, but she could feel that something had happened.
“What in Hell was that?!” Kat blinked uselessly and turned her head.
“Oh dear, this is a problem.”
“You think?”
