"Y-You act like I should be jumping for joy or something." Not to say he hasn’t been excited, though…That would be a lie. But it’s not as if he’s at liberty to visually show his eagerness. "But you’re clearly excited about it yourself. I assume you’re ready to go?”
While being excited, Masato still feels a twinge of nerves…This is almost like their first full on date, and with something as romantic as a hotel with a hotspring…It’s more than a little intimidating, though that’s also something he won’t visibly show to Ren.
"I'm not even going to pretend to be humble, Masato... I'm extremely excited." Ren says with a giggle. He steps back and away from Masato's embrace to show his backpack behind him, filled with the clothing and items needed for a single weekend away. He then raises his arm, a small plastic bag that he reaches into, carefully pulling out a bouquet of roses.
But they aren't his usual red rose... They're bright blue in color, making it quite obvious what the intention was when these were arranged. "For you~ Grown in my garden, I named them 'Gentle pianist"." He then smiles as he holds up the plastic bag, juggling it and proving there were multiple items inside. "In here I have some snacks for us to indulge in later... Since you and I have better preferences besides that of chocolate, I've gotten sweets I know we'll both be able to enjoy."
He has another gift as well, but that item was much too important to reveal so early on. Said gift was wrapped in a small box and hiding in his pants pocket, a place where he knows it's safe until he finds the perfect chance to finally give it to the other.
"Is this proof enough that I am ready, amore?"
