To Dean, just a thought.
I watched you, in the hall.
The knife pressed to your chest.
Why did you not tell them?
Did you feel that you would show them
your fear of your weakness
and your strength?
Your heart, dear lad.
I would have been in that hall
besides you.
The spacer, those who slip in
between the spaces of the written words.
The break between the pace of the show that
makes no sense.
And what would we have asked you,
To make you think?
They are trying to wear you down, to nibble at your reserve.
But I might have been able to help by asking some questions?
Who had the power to fix the ring?
Was it aimed at you?
Why, when coming clean of your guilty secrets, did you not mention
that knife you held to your chest?
Dean bandaging up his Sammy is so cute. <3

It's my third blog for this subject. (SPACE AND NARRATIVE) So to move forward with the research, I went online to find out more about space and narrative. The first thing that I saw was a book by Marie Lure Ryan, Kenneth Foote, Maoz Azaryaho in which they have two concepts which are; Narrating space- in which you take space as an object, and you narrate it. The second concept is Spatializing Narrative in which you build a narrative and put it in a physical space. Let's think about an example; A space in which nothing is going around or in it for now. Now, a person enters this space and starts interacting with it (narrating space). On the other hand, when you think of a realistic example if we look at an exhibition, we build a narrative for it and then try to manifest it sensibly. (Spatializing Narrative)
But what do narratives mean? The literal meaning of narratives is writing a story in different types of narratives, namely historical narrative, viewpoint narrative, etc. There are also other meanings of narratives which are used in psychology too. Whenever I talk about narratives around us, the person listening to it always associates it writing books, etc. My question is why can't we identify the narratives that are around us and spaces that we live in every day.
What if we used the literal narratives in a combination to each other to build narratives for us to interact with?
For me, narratives and space are complimentary for now. You cannot have one without the other. An example of this can be when you think of space and nothing else you still have a narrative about it, which can be a space in nothingness. I believe that a designer has the power to identify, build narratives and spaces deliberately.
I believe that stories are everywhere around us, but when we do them a little deliberately, then they can be called as narratives. In narratives, I see two parts, one who is playing the narrative and the other who had the intention to build the narrative or identify it.
I have started to decode the words narrative and space individually to know what I mean by them.
I have not yet articulated them. But I might have an idea as to what are they to me. Wait to see the next post for more

So, it looks like Sam and Dean buy groceries (baguettes and apples, at least), but Dean still goes to a drive thru and orders burgers.
